Very Mini Ghetto Box Grow

Welcome to my 2nd experimental grow. I've been interested in very small grows, as you will see soon enough.

So here's the setup

1 - 26 watt cfl daylight, will be switched
1 - 3" diameter computer fan
Small use of fire blanket for reflective purposes.
i have much more equipment, but due to my size restrictions i have not installed anything else yet.

I have 2 seeds germinating right now (bagseeds) they both seem to have cracked and are doing fine, i was only expecting one..i think i will have them in the soil by tommorow.

Here's the tricky part, the fun part..
I have only 6 inches of grow space from top soil to the light, i will of course be doing everything i can to keep my "plants" as small as possible.

absolute minimum space you'll need is 2 ft. you look like you have about 6", to put it bluntly, your space is just too small.

Six inches is enough if you can properly LST the plant.

Though with LST you may only have room for one plant in your case.

Yeah, i plan to top and lst.... i will most likely end up with only one plant... i have a few friends who can easily deal with one extra plant

2:21 pm January 25th

I have put one seed into the soil, i will leave the lights on untill we see the sprout, then install my light timer and switch to 18/6

My light is just over an inch from the soil, and i have put 3 jars of water inside for humidity.

3 jars is a bit too many, go for just one especially in your size box u mite end up with mold!

you'd be surprised..

my dual purpose thermometer reads usually around 20 - 30 % humidity (yes i know its quite low)
oh... and i forgot to mention...my temps are a bit high but nothing serious... they are around 84 - 86.

thanks for the thought :peace:

January 30th...

both sprouted and are reaching for the light.... i have noticed that they are growing fairly slow... is this due to high heat or low humidity, or both?

as for the 2 seedlings in one pot, dont worry i'm going to re pot them seperatley into some plastic cups...

any comments or questions are welcomed! :?:
