Very Slow growth and weird leaves!!

I started germination 16 days ago my seeds germed by day three and I had them in rockwool in my hydro (dwc) system ever since. However, my seedling is only an inch high. Two days ago it was the same height but the seed case prevented the leaves from opening, so i removed it. Then thin layer of some skin like substance was holding the leaves closed. With a razor I merely cut the small space between the leaves to the leaves got get some light. NOw two days later my plant has not grown much if at all in height. The leaves are slightly curled and the stem is a lime green tinge. The seed was an afghani from weed seeds. If anyone could give me some feedback i'd appreciate it. Thanks

not sure but you may have hurt the plant when you cut open the leaves and because it was so small it got sick

pics are most helpful...but i can tell you that if you were growing, and now it has haulted, then you probably need to flush 3 times the size of your pots with ph adjusted water.. let them dry fairly well. then continue when you see improvement... dont realy know whats wrong not enough info..

They should be fine.. I messed up my seeds quite a bit at that stage, try to be patient. Lime green is fine, they haven't had chlorophyll enter the leaves so much yet. Let us know, don't worry too much.

Are they rounded leaves? They might be cotyledons. The "seed leaves" which are used to get the plant starting photosynthesis so it can produce glucose to grow. I think you may have damaged them, and now the plant can't get the energy to grow well. Give it time, only advice I can give...

i found out the hard way i had mice in my house. they ate the seed leaves on one and killed two other plants.
the plant with the eaten leaves took off.
and has outgrown one plant that was not touched.
just let it do its thing you might be supprised

WOW, I love 3'd pics....lol. You probably shocked them when you took the seed's shell off. The seedling's need that for there nutrition for the first couple of weeks. They'll be fine just chill and let nature recover your seedling's. Fresh PH'd water 5.5-6.5. You said you were going hydro right? If so ph should be a little lower. Start nutes after 3rd node or set of leaves. The growth period will be a little delayed but they will come around. fresh air, water and light. Good luck!

I was keeping the rockwool moist by sprinkling water on them. How would I get rockwool to try if the roots are not getting enough o2? Also the tips of the two tinier leaves are yellow/brown.

I have tomatoes growing next to them, and I've been treating them as if they were pot, and they seem to be doing fine is it that hard to get these seeds to grow
