I've been battling some aphids for a week or so. yesterday I put together my own 'stealth hydro' (tutorial coming soon) and it includes a 6" long-type air stone. it seems to be creating a mellow, yet firm vibration that you can definitely hear from another room, but isn't exactly loud. since this setup, i haven't seen any bugs lately. by now i would have got one or two.
