Hi, currently in the process of finding suitable stealth box and I came up with (instead of building one) possibly purchasing this one.

http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100372345&categoryID=502362

(30 In.W x 19 In.D x 36 In.H)

First time ever, so I was wondering if I were to use this box, would LST or SOG HAVE TO be utilized in order to have a moderate yield in such a confined space? Is the 3 feet in height not suitable because I can find nothing ranging around 4 feet thats suitable.

I have a 150 HPS "all in one" light and any advice on ventilation would be well appreciated as well. Thank you!

You'd be better off with a scratch and dent kitchen cabinet, they're 4' tall and wood is safer... Then go to micheals craft store and buy a candle chimney like one of these for a $6 cooltube, and some fan and ducting and you won't have any heat problems. And I'd do a micro SOG like drBud style.

Thanks! what exactly does the candle chimney do along with cooltube. Im pure newb for the moment so thanks for your help. The light I bought has the light fully inside the hood along with the ballast so what would my best route be for cooling?

i had one of those cabs in the 6ft model...it was hard as hell to light proof it and i had trouble keepin temps inline with it...i would suggest looking on craigslist for a small metal cab instead...metal is great for keeping temps in line...

Candle chimney is the glass you see in that pic above which keeps the heat out of the cabinet when you have a fan hooked to the thing, but lets the light in.

Any light can be rewired. If you aren't doing something oo take that heat out you'll have problems in a short cabinet. Get an extra tall cabinet if you plan to just hang a normal light with no cooltube.

And yes metal would be best but that's not always a cheap option.

I found something slightly smaller in dimensions but white and what looks to be wood instead of plastic. Hopefully this will be able to work a 150 HPS with the correct ventilation you are talking about.
