Voodoo and piranha

Well hello out there. I'm currently working on my first hempy grow. I'm a soil grower, but after some reading on the site I've decided to set up a little tent and see what I can do. I'm running super nutrient part a and b with a ph of 5.6 and flushing once a week for 24 hours. Here is my question I'm looking for someone with experience with these two additives. seeing anyone has any recommendations on using it, or if I should just follow the label? Thanks all

You can follow label shouldn't be any problem IMO. I use them at 2mls/liter just like directions say.

I thought doing it in the first two weeks of flower seemed off. I can see carrying into the first two weeks but not starting in veg does not make sense to me.

Voodoo should be used the last two weeks of veg and the first two weeks of flower. Using it like they want you too will cost you a good buck. I recommend 1ml per litre for veg and 1ml carboload or something similar. The enzymes will feed on the sugar and reproduce saving you money in the long run. This IS one of the best products AN has without a doubt. Piranha is one I don't recommend, instead if you do want a good additive at the end...Overdrive will also pay for itself in return. JAS

Thanks Johhny that sounds like some sound advice. Can I ask why u don't recommend piranha? Every thing I read about the voodoo and piranha being used together sounded like the way to go, but that was all wrote by an

We never found any added advantage using it in combo. 4 different growers, same strains, all used both on 2 plants and just voodoo on another 2. There was no discernible difference in root mass or flower production. What did make a huge difference is adding some kind of carbs when applying voodoo. Like night and day. Read the label on Piranha....98% water. There are better combo's then they recommend but knowing them is critical. JAS

I use them both together and I love them, they made a big difference this time around. I use it through veg and the first few weeks of flowering, or if I have to perform an emergency flush, I will add them after I'm done flushing. I talked to someone at AN and they said you could use it all the way through week 6 of flower. Definitely add some carbs in as well, whether it's Bud Candy, Carbo load, or blackstrap molasses, feeding your beneficials I'd key. Their Big Bud / Overdrive combo is a winner too. This is my first time running AN and I am impressed. Compared to my previous general hydroponics and Fox farm grows, I know alot of people don't like them, and i know they over hype their products and stretch the truth, but from MY experience, I saw marked increases in results in comparison to my last Gen hydro and Fox farm grow.

At what point are u adding the carbs? The whole time or later on. I put the first run of food with pirrana and voodoo in today. Atleast two more weeks of veg if not maybe a little longer.

Yes they can and do work really well, really though running a 3 part system with micro's eliminates most of these additives. What is in Piranha? what does it do? These questions should be asked before purchase. Don't just buy because....understand what's in it and why you have to use an additive. 9 times out of 10 the necessity for additives is either an imbalance in nutrients or grower error. try a side by sid with every additive you want to use, this will show you the reaction in your garden...JAS

Piranha is just more beneficials. Various trichoderma, pseudomonas, rhizopogon, etc. I start adding carbs (bud candy) at the start of flowering. Voodoo juice and piranha are awesome I really like both of them together, haven't tried tarantula yet. But in MY book, voodoo juice and piranha are a must. I start with both of them from the very start, neither add any ppms to your solution. None of ANs other additives have these beneficial bacteria and mycochorriza, they really do wonders for your rhizosphere

Thanks man. I added them in my res change the other day the plants went from drinking about 2L a day to 4L a day in the first 24 hours so I'm kinda I'm pressed already. Ill be checking out the bud candy. When do u start adding the carbs? With that being said what ppm meter u recommend. I use a Wisconsin ph meter and am very happy with it. Since starting this hempy grow I feel I should have one. I've never used on in my soil grow. Just ph and run.

I start adding carbs, Bud Candy, as soon as I start flowering. Voodoo juice and piranha will makes your roots explode. Really great looking roots and enhanced nutrient uptake as well, so you can possibly get by with feeding less. I am using the HM TDS meter (NaCl), I got it from amazon for like 15 bucks. It's a see through dark blue, just search TDS meter on amazon and it should be one of the first. It's probably not the best but it is consistent and the price is right, I really like mine, use it more than my oakton ph meter.

All three combined(tarantula) are great. I look forward to the beginning of flower because I get to use these, they reap great results.

Thanks guys. Just finished up setting up the girls new home. God is it nice to have my space in my veg room back. They are looking super happy. Well at least the bubble gum is. There sitting pretty in a 5x5 tent with 1000 watts air cooled and there own personal ac. There up take increased another liter of water again today so that puts them at 5g a day. Ill try and figure out how to trough a pic up on here at some point. Off to my soil grow for a few hours.

Beuffer, I definitely want to add tarantula in next year, it's got some good stuff in there and I'm sure all three together are great. Do you not use the beneficials during veg? I used them from the start with good results. Using that much through veg and flower can get expensive though. They have a grwat 4 pack out right now, it's the three beneficials and something else, maybe bud candy, all 1 liter for $99, which is huge savings over buying them individually.

So here they are. The big girl is the bubble gum the little one is mowie wowie. Then this is their new home and a photo of the move. Tomorrow ill be putting in a screen to hold up the colas on the bg and the two ill get on the mw.
