I woke up this morning to my 4 inch vortex vibrating the hell out of my first light. The fan is solid mounted on a wall. The fan itself does not seem to be vibrating but the air coming out is so rough now that it is vibrating the the hood and light it runs to.
Returning it for a new one will take at least a week since i have to mail it out. So right now i can't even run my lights.
Only inline for fan for sale around here that i can find is a 10 inch canfan. It must be oldschool though since its CFM is rated at about 560 CFM.
Problem is i will have to go from 10 inch down to 4 inch. The run of 4 inch ducting is not to long....maybe 10-12 feet with a few small bends in it. The vortex was doing a OK job at 170 CFM cooling 2 600 Watt lights.
Question is will the 10 inch 560 CFM Canfan after being reduced to 4 inch ducting put out enough air to cool those 2 lights?
