i have a walk in closet that is 9 by 5 1/2 and 8 1/2 feet tall..it has a small door opening at the top of the closet that is the attic door....i believe i am going to use the waterfarm 8 bucket hydro system only going to grow 6 plants though...for lighting i will be using a 1000 watt mh/hps light with aircooling and have the hose go in to the attic and the exhaust hose will go into the attic also...as for the ventilation coming into the grow room i have no way of getting air into it...there is a door to the grow room and like any door has the inch slit at the bottom. would that be sufficent for ventilation coming in because of the vacume of the exhaust pulling air out..air will be sucked in from my room into the closet...is there anything bad about that?

It all depends on the climate where you live. Im using a walk in closet as well which is a little biggers than your and im running a 400 watt ballast. The area with out fans got up two around 96(out side room the temp was around 80) Im using 2 8 inch inline fans one for the bulb and one for sucking the air into the closet. I also have a cage fan for exuast as well and now im running at a nice steady temp of 70-76, so depending where you are you should look into some inline fans. Dont cheap out on them, cause in the end you only want to buy one. Hope this can help.

yea you will definetly need a vent coming in. as and idea to get fresh air in and old air out you can build a wooden box tht is seperated into 2 halfs and connect it to your airvent in your attic then have one side with a carbon filter that blows the air outside and one that sucks the air in with a carbon filter also that way to get rid of particals and any other crap so you get fresh air.:blsmoke:

well i live in southern california....i am not sure what you mean by making a wooden box
you take some wood and build a box.[ ] that has a piece in the middle to so that your left with two halfs that are sealed.[|] and make sure you make a square or rectangle to fit over the attic vent before you add the center piece of wood to make the halfs. then make 2 [o|o] holes one fore out take and one for intake and make the box big enough to fit carbon filters in it on the hose connections.then run one to the top of your grow room for a venting the air out and the other tube run to the bottom to give the plants fresh air.and it will seal your attic off from smelling up your house if you have vents cause you can put holes in the attic door/cover and no leaking at all and make sure you have good inline fans in the tubes.then your set fresh air and no smell.bongsmilie
