Walls in the grow room

I have a 4x8 tent with 2 600 watt lights. I want to expand my grow and am debating on getting a 4x4 text or just use an entire room.I am also buying another light. if I go with the room idea it will be 1000watts if its the tent I will get another 600. My concern is that if I use a whole room I wont have the reflective walls nearly as close as if it were in a tent. I'm wondering if I will loose a lot of light by it having to travel so far until it is reflected back. the room size is 13x11 with 2 windows. Thanks all!

Don't be too concerned with loosing lumens in the room. You will be much happier being able
to walk around to get the work done. With a bigger room - just add more light - CFL's if you have to for the time being. Then when you get some extra cash - get more light the way you want it.

If you go the room route - paint the walls with flat white paint - It's a very good way to go when you don't have the expensive materials to build with.

Thanks for the reply! The walls are a flat white already. I am going to start breaking the tent down in a couple days after harvest. I think I will use the tent to veg and just use the room to flower. Thanks for the help bro! Should I keep the same 4x4 area for 600 watt light? I suppose i will buy a 1000 watt and put it in between both 600's and line them up the length of the 13 ft room.

What is your opinion on UFO led for supplemental lighting? Or will a gang of 23 watt CFLs do just as well? I have about 8 4 bulb cfl setups. What would you use?
