Walmart Grow Light

I recently purchased this light, and i have grown 3 plants so far, just now 2 weeks into flowering, but that was just for like the feel of it, i am planning on actually putting my all into my next grow and i wanna do it Good, not Perfect but good enough to have my own smoke..

tl;dr read somewhere saying this lights useless, can i use it?

just over a 1000 lumens= pretty lame. A 400 watt hps is about 55,000 lumens.

im limited to cfls and this, cannot use too much electricity as im only planning on doing 3-4 plants at a time (small personal grower) and its also in a basement which the owner cannot know of the electricity abuse if u catch me

Use the sun.

ive used them but i used 4 and only for vegging seeds and small clones

walmart has 55w cfl twist I am using 4 of them and they do a good job.

i tried the sun, but i live in an area with Alot of slugs, i lost 4 plants to slugs and other outdoor pests, and i believe i saw deer tracks walk right through my planting area, therefore i cannot use the sun.. and i believe i saw 100w cfls but i think its 'true' wattage was like 27 or somthin ill look again today, im going to pickup ph strips an a timer, is a ph testing kit necessary if im using soil and not hydroponics?

is there any new scheme at walmart or not..

I tried that light... it was pretty useless; neither my clones nor my seedlings found it beneficial (used a couple of them too).

This is a joke....

I am constantly amazed on this board.

I bought one of those two....Def doesn't do much, however i still have it set up with 10 cfl bulbs. I have a good aray of lights now, but to rely strictly on just that grow strip would be not recommended

Go to a hydroponics shop and you can get a CFL setup for less than $100 that will suit your needs.

Your landlord can't know your growing because of just electricity? Will they let you grow weed? Cause they will find out for sure when it starts to bud that your growing. And you cannot bud with those light fixtures.

Get your ass outdoors and take advantage of this free light. A simple bare copper wire around the base of each plant will keep the slugs away and even if the deer eat 75% of your plants you will still wind up with way more bud than you will if you stay under those weak lights. We are growing marijuana here..not algae
