HPS lights on pic for a change. Analogs still work lol. Starting to fill out her structure. I'm better of this run with learning how to operate the system and sorting all the initial issues like how long can you veg and how much hormones ie root supplements should I even consider running?

I've since stopped all the PGR regiments. Only on soil grown plants from now on. They don't support the the new system design because you don't want extreme root growth with small aero root chambers. It's not needed and only gives me more work for no more yield or potency, at least not with this system.

Only following:

Calcium nitrate 15,5-5-5
Mega Crop 2-part 5-12-26(Jacks)
Magnesium sulfate
Potassium silicate 30ppm
One third the dosage of drip clean from H&G
Bleach 1ppm residual chlorine, every 3rd to 4th day.

I ran in to all sorts of issues the first run but still managed to finish. Looking better this far and haven't run in to as many issues as last time.

TRIA makes it problematic growing in Aero, the root mass gets to big for the mist to support them basically. Cheers!

Do you run CO2 in your tents? I haven't used a any Tria yet this test run , and I have to agree for my self as well I don’t think it’s needed granted I have 5 plants in 1 chamber but the root balls for each are massive and there is 1 of the 5 in each not doing to good I believe at least my thought was the one plant isn’t seeing fresh or as much spray it’s being suffocated by the others getting 3 times the size but yes I’m glad I only am testing the entire system and it’s showed me a lot about the roots also I am getting salt buildup everyday it moves up 200ppm then after it gets to high I do a maintenance by flushing with straight RO actually @Atomizer showed me this should be a regular thing that should be done and he was spot on ... I also mentioned CO2 because I’m having to run my EC like at 1.8-1.9 and then my PH is almost exact 5.8 in 5.8 out if it’s lower it runs PH goes high and if it gets too high into the 2.2ec and up the ph drops to the 5.0 -5.5

I'm currently running 1.0 EC without CO2. Seems to be a good spot. Hard to keep everything 100% happy with only one res. If you're not running potassium silicate I would look into that for better pH stability. I believe Drip clean helps slightly to combat salt build up but I never experienced any with my system.

Mine is dead on after 48h of pHing down and it doesn't move for 14 days (pH 6.0). I normally top of with RO during these 14 days to keep 1.0 EC constant.

Optimally I would like to lower nitrogen slightly in mid flower. But I get the quality and medicine I need already, just that I could combat foxtailing and nanners on long flowering sativa's. Looking forward to see how AK47 and Kali Mist likes the new sauce.

I should of explain a little better I do DTW so my PH going in is dead on it’s with salt buildup high and low EC my PH in my waste is dead on when my EC is at the sweat spot but with salt build up after running 1 week it almost doubles in EC so I flush for 3-6 hours at lights out when I do a Rez change keeps the roots healthy!

Stretch continues. Res change and net(s) going in tomorrow and during this weekend. 3 weeks of solid stretch with Hifi4G. I'm going to add a ratio of 3.6g 5-12-26 and 1.3g Calcium nitrate.

Lowering Calcium nitrate and dropping epsom salt all together, there's plenty in 5-12-26 already, I just want to get the Ca:Mg ratio right and lower nitrogen.

Res change 1.1 EC. 3.6g 5-12-26, 1.3g 15-5-5 per gallon. I'm gonna try this ratio. Really liked how it put the pH right at 6.3 without any pH down.

Maybe I'll use this ratio further on with mixed reservoirs? In the future I'm gonna have two reservoirs and 4 cycles going.

Hifi4G at day whatever. They've officially stopped the stretch. Filling out earlier this run around the budsites. I think the LED's are actually working, joking lol!

I need to put trellis in but been busy/lazy. Cheers!

Made a new cloner. Gonna make another tomorrow so I have sites for all the pheno's for next run. 3 x AK47 and Kali Mist's. They're only getting ambient light.IMG_20210808_170010611.jpg

Getting there. The LED panel seem to bring an earlier finish and bigger harvest. I also didn't use any TRIA this run. Had some minor mold problem, we had some major flooding and my humidifier couldn't keep up while I was away on work.

Recalculated the silica dosage and I've been running lower than normal, 20ppm instead of 35ppm which I usually use. I must have fucked up mixing the stock solution last time. You live and learn. Cheers!

Lowers.

Last run with Durban x Mad Kush. Pretty interesting cross. Old school Creeper with the heavy effect from the Mad Kush/Herijuana. Pretty decent for a cheap 600w HPS.

You got the long lasting creeper and heavy effects, pretty weird combo. Later finisher compared to both parents. Smells like barbecue, gasoline and orange peels. Cheers!

Hey! Sorry to dig out this thread, but as you are the guy currently helping me with my irrigation problem and who already has experience with aeroponics I thought I'm just gonna ask here because I'm also trying to set it up. Should my irrigation problems continue, I will probably switch sooner than later.

So this build is a recirculating aeroponics build. I didn't go through the whole history so apologies, if it's already mentioned couple times, but this is a high pressure aeroponics with pressure coming from the nutrient feed line, right?
Did you experience any problems when starting? Was recirculation a problem at some point? All I see is people recommending drain to waste for aeroponics.

Any pointers or comments are greatly appreciated.

Yes it's HPA running at 110-140 psi. I had problems with the return piping which I didn't get low enough starting out which resulted in stagnant water in the bottom of the chambers. I didn't have much problems other than the learning curve of using and optimizing the system operation like the best way to make res changes and best way to bleed and re-pressurising the system.
