Water question.... First grow... Help

Ok, this may seem dumb but whatever lol :dunce:... I have some water that has been sitting for about for about 4 days, It's half a gallon of distilled water and nutes... I already used half of the water 4 days ago to feed my babies but now its feeding time again... Can I use this same water to feed or would it just be best to hookup a fresh batch? Lol, logic tells me to just do a fresh batch, but then that just means I wasted nutes which means wasting $$$$... I would appreciate any help I'm doing hempy buckets and I'm using fox farm nutes if that helps any.

well................ i keep 2 5 gal buckets one just plan ro or distilled water and one with nutes i have both with a air stone bubbling the what to add air to the water and keeps it from getting nasty water i can use one after 10 days of making it with the nutes also when i water i water every other one with nutes and the other just plan water it helps flush the salts out of your dirt ..... well what ive been told its just the best way but every farmer is different

Use it. Just don't make it a habit. Water, with or without additives, is a great breeding medium for unwanted bacteria.

if you use the water before and no problems it will be ok to use it again i thought it was for babies but you didnot say it was because babies dont like nutes

If you nutrients are organic toss it, if not just smell the water and make sure it doesn't smell funky.

Its fine! as long as its not growing anything in it its fine to use for your plants. No need to waste nutes if your on a budget

its not good to leave sitting water though, like harley says. stagnent water always grows stuff, thats why we want running streams to drink and airstones for dwc.

I'd just mix up some new stuff bro. Ph changes in it just sitting there. Would you eat 4 day old food? These are your girls bro. Your babies, its family. :)

Agree totally with Bmeat^, not only that but using old stangnat water with old nutes screws with the oxygen of the water big time and PH. Their is alot of stuff that can change water chemistry wise is sitting nuts, unless you have been cycling it with a water pump for days

tcdd - If it's any reassurance one of my outdoor grow sites I water out of a livestock pond, a nasty, muddy, bacteria-laden waterhole and plants do great there.

I mix what I need for the week,( two feedings,) I do this is a five gal culanary bucket, If you know someone who works in the food industry they are free. I mark them and use use them. I do not keep the bucket in the grow area and I will keep an airstone bubbling.
Put a lid over it to keep shit out of it. I know my water and nutes so worring about ph swing isn't such an issue. My nutes don't swing. UNWANTED bacteria isn't really an issue either. If you run a tight ship, and dont grow in a sewer. Most bacteria found feeding in nutes are absolutly benificial, and aren't going to damage your plants, in "ANY" way. When we cold brew compost tea. for use in Any media, yes including hydro ( simply fine strain your tea). We use Unsulfered molassass, (blackstrap), The sugars in this blackstrap," feed" the bacteria that break-down the organic food, and make it readily accessable to your girls. So mr SUPER STONER hotrodharley's coment was a pretty unfounded, -Unsupported, bunch of hooey. Bacteria can effect your plant, no mistake but it does not grow in nute water after a couple of days. I grow bacteria in nute tea for 4 days before I feed it to my plants. heres some bacteria infected plants right here!IMG_0042.jpgIMG_0044.jpg
