Watering and run-off allowance (Soil)

I have been watering my ladies that are in 3 gallon containers every other day. After I water I let them sit in the run off for about 5 mins then I empty the run-off water (the water that came out of the drainage holes in the containers).

My questions are:

Should I leave water in the run-off bowls for longer than 5 mins?
Also Ive been giving them 1.5 liters of water/nutrients per 3 gallon container, is this enough? The run off bowls are full when fully drained from the containers.

So, I have found that this forum is getting fucking lame. There is more posts on a "Guess my yield" (the thousands of them) or "First time grow, 62 days and still 3 inches tall" threads than on a thread where an actually helpful question exists.

If the search option actually gave proper conclusions to your search and better functions I wouldnt have even posted to get help from pros. But I guess the only pros here dont help that often...

I guess grasscity or toke are better forums now....

Seen a few how much to water threads too...

Try using google to do a site search

seems like you're watering too often... water when the plants are a photoperiod or so away from wilting...and achieving at least 10% runoff is ideal....

Sounds like you could be over-watering. How big are the plants? Small, big? Sounds like they're getting enough water though from the amount of run-off there is.

OK just read the first post but it goes with the prob you having on you grow in the other thread. you need to rip them run off bowls the fuck off and maybe even drill a few extra holes. Its all about drainage and immediate drainage. Idk if you are flowering in them pots as well. If so you need to build a planterbox like I said on the other thread cause that is not near enough soil.

I got your back.. like you said there are a lot of "kids" as EYE like to call them here, but they are only here because the best are here as well. Just gotta find the right people look up the right threads most of the "pros" or just smart gardeners on here have posted the same thing 1000 times and usually now only look up and comment on successful grows. You are better off making friends with the good growers and pm them a ? cause new threads come up so fast its hard to keep up....you know what eye meanbongsmilie
