I'm about to put my seeds (supergirl bud) into soil, I already got the giffy 5" peat pots full of (miracle-gro) seed starting potting mix. My question is how much water do i feed them! If you guys could tell me some watering techniques you have used in the past/present. Also i have FoxFarm Grow Big Liquid Plant Food (6-4-4) for [FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica]vegetative growth, when should I starting using it?

(Also if any1 knows, the miracle gro im using said in the back of the bag i shold transfer to regular potting soil when 1st leafs form, is this true? or should i start off with regular miracle-gro potting soil!)

Thanks for any help!

Some people in here do grow in Miracle Grow Soil. But most feel as I do, that Miracle Grow got it's name because it is a Miracle when anything grows in it.

If you want to grow in something that is hard to over water. Try Coco Coir.

As for the MG, make sure to add about 30% Perlite to the soil to help drainage. And only water about every 3 days or so. It really depends on your conditions, Temp, Humidity, so on. It is my opinion that it is better to under water, then to over water your plants.

just water them well, then wait untill it drys out and water again..
learn what your pots weight is with water and without. and measure that way

does your soil come with plant food already? if so then I wouldnt use much of the nutrients, very little.. Or I would transplant to soil without nutrients.

If your soil dosnt come with nutrients then start when the plant is 14-20 days old. start light

also, you should germinate your seeds first in paper towels. dampen the towels and put in ziplock bag, and wait a few days.

then put the seeds in the soil with the tail facing down. Keep them moist till they sprout. Then start puting light on them and water normally

SuperGirl, Check out these plants here. They are in CoCo Coir, which gives all that good taste and smell of soil, and is way more forgiveing. I have a drip system set up that waters it for me. I mix up a 10 gallon tub of nuts and the rest is automatic. With COCO, you use less water each watering, but you water more often. Mine is set up to water for 6 minutes twice a day. The drip system does not drip much water. I use a 359 gph pump. My buddy uses like a 1200 gph pump, but he waters like 12 times a day for 15 seconds. And he has like 60 something plants also though. I had 8 clones, I was waiting for the original plants to show sex, and all the other traits I wanted. When I had the clone I wanted, I was going to let the other 7 die. I left them in the corner of a room for 8 days before they started to wilt from lack of water. This CoCo Coir is the most forgiveing grow medium I have ever seen. Even looks like soil also.

These plants will go into my flowering room, in about a week, with my 1,000 watt HPS light, after I have taken a few clones from them. They are both from the same original plant. I was not going to run my HPS light this summer, because of the high Elect bill. But after seeing this growth and smell and WOW!!!!
I can not help myself.
