I transplanted today into larger pots. The plants got a good watering and they look healthy. They are growing fast.

I'm very careful not to overwater them....Someone else told me that it was a slight Nitrogen deficiency.

Like I said I'm no expert, did you have a look at that link I posted? it has something about "Nitrogen Deficiency"

Thanks for the link Hum, it confirmed what the other person had told me. It's a Nitrogen deficiency and as of this morning I fed them a 1/2 strength solution of 20-20-20 nutes. I'll see how they react and go from there. Other than the little Nitro deficiency, the plants seem to be doing really well. It seems they are gonna be pretty bushy. This is their 10th day above soil...

Here are both plants together. You can see the yellowing leaves on the rear plant.

Here's a better pic of the sicker plant, which still looks good. I'll get her well.

Very nice, looking healthy as ever now, I'm going to start building a veg/flowering box today and thinking about painting the inside a flat white house paint, is that what you used because it seems to be working for you.

Keep up the good work!

I took a couple of pictures this morning. The plants got a good feeding of 1/2 strength nutes 3 days ago and have seemed to really respond nicely.

I also have a couple of questions....

First, how old should a plant be before you top it?

Second, Can someone explain nodes to me? I see people post stuff like " the plants are on their 4th node " What does that mean? How do I tell what node my plants are on?

Thanks

my understanding of topping is when the plant as at least 4-5 nodes - the nodes being the location at which leaves are attached to the plant. in general that seems to be when they are anywhere from 9-12" tall? But I'm sure someone with more experience can confirm this or correct it.

BTW - those are very healthy looking specimens! good job.

Those plants are looking awesome man, how long are you going to wait for before you start flowering them?

I'm thinking you can top at any stage of veg from the second node up, I think it depends on how short/tall you want your plants or how soon you plan on flowering.

I'm thinking these are what they call nodes,

Your plants are looking nice and healthy, keep up the good work!

Any advice on if and when I should top these plants? They are working on their 5th node and are about 4 1/4 inches tall.
