Perhaps the bottom nugs grow slower and the brown pistols are from some of the original growth. Perhaps you notice the brown pistols more on the bottom because those nugs are not so full of other/fresher pistols.

Hmm maybe but I mean ive looked close a lot, so I would know if the top growth had any.

No, no ,no - do like The Grow Kid says, well, sort of! You use 2 or even 3 yardsticks (or meter sticks)! Not inside the pot, shoved down into the soil. But outside the pot, held on with Duct tape, rubber bands, string (whatever you have handy!). Just make sure that the sticks are held in place very securely! Then you can straighten up the plant and tie it off as you see fit.

take 2 sticks and tape them on opposite sides of your pot. make them as high as your bud will be. run a small rope from one stick and a few rounds around main stem and to the other stick. pretty easy just dont make it too tight as that will cut fluids from flowing through stem
