I have a dream........

Remember the "Pay It Forward" idea? What if we started something similar but like this, Grow and donate buds to folks who could use it but can't afford to purchase or grow. And when I say they could use it, what I mean is maybe there is a medical need or a mental need like depression maybe.
Or if they are having a hard time in the struggle and they could use a hit off the peace pipe, you know what i'm saying?

LOL So Roseman, you agree it is a viable idea?
If so, consider it in your area, if someone you know can't buy it, let 'em try it and brighten their day, i'm sure yours would be in return.
Modern day robin hood type guys, ya know?

How could that be considered dumb? If you had no bud and a random friend dropped by unexpectedly and gave you some herb just out of the goodness of his heart would you think it dumb then, sir?

We already have that in Oregon for medical marijuana patients. They are called compassion centers.

well what i think the fatman is talking about is a more active approach. the compassion centers are great but i think he's talking about having people go to those in need who can't get to a compassion center for whatever reason. Kinda like meals on wheels...only it would be mmj on wheels.

Yes Kant that is the general premise, however it would not be limited to only those individuals. The idea came from the fact that my uncle in law was diagnosed with cancer and has only been given a few months to a year, so I felt moved to help make things a little more comfortable for him and his wife as that particular need was not yet being met.

If the person can't get to a compassion center then they can have a caregiver appointed. That person is allowed to do the growing and/or pick up the weed for them.

really? well that's kool of them. i too live in a state sans mmj laws. it's unfortunate but we're trying.

if your that poor, and cant afford 5.00 and a 50 cent cigar. you wait untill you get money for weed. Dont have 5.00? so you will donate to someone living in the mothers house with no job just want some weed.

weed is already illegal its a bigger risk than going an buying a bag.

your going to drive around to a friends house and give him a back of weed?

maybe there is a medical need or a mental need like depression maybe.
Usely when you have medical needs, you go to the doctor....Mental needs like depression. Theres pills all type of things, you could go to cvs an buy.

Maybe we should call up the pharmacy and get the numbers to people who provide there stuff and everyone sign something so we can get them to drop off some pills to people who cant afford to pay.

in my opinon i think it is dumb

Well, everyone has different ideas about different things, it's good for us after all variety is the spice of life.
Now, consider this, weed is basicly recognized and identified as a drug. A drug thats really good for those that are severely ill, but otherwise only a "recreational" drug-not what it is a <herb> herbs were given to us for many different purposes not just those mentioned.
It's kind of like having a nice car but because driving is considered taboo if it's done for any other purpose other than say, going to work and home, does that mean you can't drive it other places? Maybe thats not a good metaphor but I think you get my point. I hope. I'm just saying be open minded, generous, and I bet a difference can be made! After all, do you believe in karma or the old saying, "what goes around comes around"?

my dr.'s can take all those crazy pills and......... well, take them themselves. do you understand the side-effects of pharmaceutical drugs? pick any drug and look up the side-effects. oh, and by the way, my dr. has prescribed me marijuana. go figure.

Here caregivers are reimburse by their patients for all costs associated with growing.
