weed country

Welll.... there is a problem. The California laws provide for non-profit. Now that can mean lots of things but anyone driving around in that sort of a car with no visible means of support other than his dispensary will be hard pressed to explain how his non-profit orgainzation is capable of supporting his purchase or lease of such a vehicle. Also, he is out on bail which must surely be in the half a million dollar range - and his house doesn't look like much in the way of equity.

It is clear that he was raking in more than a standard salary and stipend for his efforts. That C3 guy that was busted after repeated Federal warnings was found to have hundreds of thousands in cash strewn all over his house. If you are going to claim to be operating a non-profit then you might think to look the part of a community member who is concerned for the plight of the typical marijuana user. No harm in paying yourself a reasonable salary but he makes the Fed's claim that the CA laws are being abused look pretty authentic.
Now thats pretty interesting info. This was why I started this thread to see how it actually compare to how the laws there are and see if it was even close to portraying it close to reallity. Legal or not if you flash alot of cash and fancy materialistic items then somebody will get jealous then we all know what happens next. I've always beleive if your doing something illegal or borderline legal than humbleness does wonders.

it's a decent show imo.. yes, of course, it's tv, and it's going to be scripted tons and lots of dumb stuff we all know is bs, but it's tv..

some of the things the cops say, which canndo has already covered, make me ill.. the getting behind the wheel statement was one that struct a nerve..
i lol'ed at the two older headds, ej w/e his name was and his friend, who said don't get me wrong by saying this, but i don't think getting aboard a sinking ship is a very good idea.. good advice imho..
and i agree canndo, that dude is providing a service, as are all so called middlemen.. it's how business work imvho... the people making w/e product are always low man on the totem pole..

and i have a question about weed country that i'm sure canndo could answer for me...

how are these police or whomever allowed to come onto people's properties and rip out their plants if they're not breaking state laws?? i can see the feds coming in as they're still breaking federal law by growing, but i didn't think that the locals were able to really do all that much so long as these people weren't say growing more plants then allowed or something along those lines... i guess i was naive in doing so..

lmao.. i just thought that most of the cops out there didn't give a poopoo so long as they weren't running say over 99 plants or w/e, but i guess i was wrong and popo don't give a mofo is right, lol...

it's just that all i read around here is that the locals pigs usually don't bother with growers who are within the state laws..

Do you have to be a federal agent to enforce federal law?

Or can any LEO (city/county/state) enforce federal law?

i get that, it's just like i said, most of the stuff i've read on this site and others like it, it seems that most people claim that the local popo don't mess with growers is all i'm saying, and after watching that show, it seems that isn't the truth and that the cops out there will fuck with you as soon as look at you, something i believed to not be true with growing in california for the most part...

if you listen to some people on this site, the only people who ever get arrested are people not following state guidelines, which is obviously not true now i watch the show..

flaunting, taunting, flashing, and being on t.v. shows is a good way to draw attention regardless of level of law. The local departments from what I understand get federal funding for these eradication efforts and this is how locals get to enforce federal laws.
