weed & opiate WD

hello all

i'll begin by apologizing for starting a thread that probably already exists on this thread.

i am quitting opioid pills (namely, oxycontin and vicodin) cold turkey. literally, i am at the end of day 2 of "sobriety." i'm not totally sober as i'm smoking SHIT-TONS of weed to calm my nerves and increase appetite.

my mood seems very low, depressed when i'm not smoking. after a great big bong rip, i can actually feel something close to comfort and relaxation.

anyone else feel like speaking to the effectiveness/necessity of pot during opiate withdrawal?

Enjoy that bitch-of-a ride, man. There's a reason why I don't do opiates. As long as you have a lot of pot, you should be good. Just keep yourself busy.

dude i just came off zopiclone tabs for sleeping i didnt need them really then i was big time addicted took me 2 weeks to sleep properly. read up and they actually prescribe fucking diazepam for peeps coming off the fucking things, that was some cold ass turkey

i am a piece of shit, however. i found 5 hydro tablets last night and decided to try to use them to control my cravings...

is this simply going to lengthen my withdrawals or is it actually smart to try to taper off not-so-slowly?

hydro is weak as hell anyway. i wouldnt worry about it

id have to take all 5 just to feel a lil something

gotta have at least 4 zips in hand before the hell begins. wd's can last up to a month. been doing this shit for years now!

yea dude, i fell. i was a ball on here before i got busted growing.

now i'm a fall. i actually started back up w/ the OC again and ended up in rehab recently. i even gave up smoking for about 2 months to pay for pills.

lesson learned: pills suck; weed is perfect.
