Week 8 (flowering) issues

Here's a couple of pic's

This is not due to pests.

after noticing this degradation of the plants
  • relocated dehumidifier (set point at 45%) and reconfigured pots and lamps
  • performed a Cal/Mag adjustment to current volume of reservoir (1/4 strength)

Reviewed my image library regarding these photos and actually can notice this beginning approximately 5 days earlier to the progressed state of when I actually recognized and took action.

Through some disease/pest reading, I am figuring this to be possible Nitrogen deficiency, maybe Magnesium and/or Phosphorous as well. Hoping that by adding the Cal/Mag....will halt this progression.

Would appreciate any feedback or assistance...as this is my first grow.

The dehumidifier was originally in the center of tent and venting mostly on the 2 plants pictured above.....could this possibly have any relation to this? The venting air is not hot....at least no hotter than the environment.

The grow is Hydroponic Ebb/Flow with CO2 enrichment, 1000w HPS air cooled lamps.

Thanks in advance,

actually I think ya did your homework I see mostly the nute burn but there is the start of a P def and perhaps mag, could be a P lockout as they should not have burned at 1/2 strength this far in, but I'm a soil guy so not 100% sure

Thanks Riddleme, even if it is from a 'Soil Guy'

Swapping out reservoirs tomorrow, and I'm going to set this guy at a pH 5.5

This should allow the some quick absorption of some nutes that actually may have been getting little if any (like P for phosphorous). Also widen the pH fluctuations a little more and let the reservoir sweep between 5.6 to 6.2, I found this info which contains some great info regarding pH balances - https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/216537-self-diagnose-your-plants.html

8 th week flowering and your changing up ur nutes all i say is hammer them with nutes cause you should be almost done fck the lower leafs to me its not nute burn but rather not enough nutes more like nute lock out if your useing chemical nutes you need ph up chances are you got 6.2 ph you if your in soil you need 6.8 to 7.0

my bad i read up dude post some pics of your plant like to see what ou got on 8th week for buds :))

Here's a couple family pic's. They're from Week 6. Also attached, a couple pic's of some of the buds + 1 that I attempted FIM technique....they're still tiny, but I suspect them to start getting big quick. Please excuse the bushyness...first grow and felt so bad about cutting off too much, definitely a learning experience.

DrFever - you say bring the hammer down with nutes. I like the idea...I mean why not right, I'm going to be flushing the bitches before beheading...but wouldn't this cause a burn on the flowers/buds too? Preach to me...

Wanted to say I did blast these girls with nutes and the flowers seem to thank me. Post up some pics later....going to chop them down this Sunday. The flowers look as if a snow storm hit 'em.

Those above pics are from week 6 of flowering under (one/several) 1000w HPS??? What was your total yield outta interest?

Week 6 of total grow. The grow used 2 1000w lights. Don't know the actual yield yet....spent 10+ hours yesterday cutting & manicuring....on top of....cleaning the tent and preparing it for Drying.

Going out know to catch a round of D-golf, lunch and then take a wet weight and some pics.

Have to say that I may be a little dissapointed with the the yield on this grow, but I did come away with alot of knowledge from Hard Knocks. Round 2 should smoke this run :joint:
