On the surface they look sexy as all hell. I would check under a 100X Microscope and see what story the trichomes tell you. If you cant I would flush them asap and then begin a very happy harvest. Good Luck. Hope this helps. Bongs Away!

Yup flush at least a week and you should be good to go...i'd invest in a hanheld microscope to check trichs...........they tell the story for sure...........

thanks guys. I have the microscope and been flushing for a week already. should the leaves be yellowing already because they aren't. plants still looking really green after a week of just water. hard to tell by just looking at the trich's. I guess they mostly look clear/cloudy still...no amber yet. hopefully some changes will be noticeable this week. CAN'T WAIT!!

I think you are approaching the window, but trichomes are the way to tell for sure. I noticed the swollen calyxes, orange pistils, and reduction in nitrogen on the leaves - all good signs. If you have the time, I would let her continue for a bit longer so that she will use up the nitrogen stores in the leaves some more (esp the one in the first pic). This helps to avoid a more harsh aftertaste from a high concentration of chlorophyll. I grow both of these strains in soil, and both show significant leaf loss and yellowing right before harvest.

Either way, fantastic job! That is one healthy looking crop.

Thanks for the closeups - yep, a little while longer to go under a flush routine and you will have yourself some top quality bud amigo. I am thinking at least another week, but check the trichomes every couple days. If you have not experimented before with that strain and have multiples, pull one now, then another in about 4-5 days, and so forth, noting trichome colors for each plant. Nothing better than that kind of experimentation after all the hard work. Next time around you will have a good idea on what to look out for on what you find is the best tasting.

Take a closeup shot by setting your camera to "macro". On mine it is a button on the main group of buttons that looks like a flower over a mountain. Macro will get you some really sexy closeups.

Tip: Set it to a timer like 2-10 seconds so when you move the camera by pressing the photo button you don't eff up your shot. Turn off flash and have decent lighting. Use a tripod or place the camera on something stable or hold the camera VERY still. You will get some SICK shots with that 12mp. I'm having a blast with my 8mp.

Peace

I would imagine you have started flush already, if not start now.

I say you have a week to 2 max based off of your trich numbers. More amber means more couchlock - More cloudy means more active UP high - Clear means not done. I pull when mine are about 20% are amber about 70-75% will be cloudy and maybe a tiny clear.

They look fabulous. Are you using co2?

I usually set an alarm for when my lights go off, and get in there with my desk lamp and camera. Once the lights go off, i have my desk lamp on so i can see what im looking at thru the camera, make sure the flash is on, and the photos that i take without the intense red spectrum light are perfect. I don't even bother trying to take photos with them on, it just gets me angry over not being able to get a decent photo.
