it's got to be a 1000w hps looking at how many plants are under it and that orange glow is a dead giveaway.
nice grow man

I'm considering changing out this LED and using something smaller because I just saw I have lots of bleached tips on most for the white widow and also a little on the shorter AK47s. I have a six hundred watt HPS but I was worried it wasn't enough for the three plants. What are your thoughts because I can't raise the light anymore it is at its max

I guess I got ahead of myself thinking that I could saturate them in light more than it was doing by buying into the LED madness. During veg, I have not seen anything grow so lush and strong but when I flicked on the second "flowering switch" things got hard to deal with (heat, light bleaching) SO to be specific there are three plants scrogged but really just a 4x4 enclosure.

So you think that is enough light using the 600 watts knowing that? I would rather go back to the HPS less noise, more clandestine for sure without heat issues.

i heard leds main selling point is lack of heat, glad i stick with what i know lol. i use nothing but 600w hps and that is how i will be keeping it for the forseeable future.

600 for a 4x4 is great

If I didn't have to type so much I could be very specific about the serious degree of noise (suppose to be "whisper quiet) fans sounds like eight powerful computers all running at top clock speeds, and the heat being blown out from the unit, unable to channel it elsewhere thus heating up the tent to nearly 88 degrees. Granted, mine is overkill in its size but I was told things that just weren't accurate, thinking raising it 12-18 inches was enough...it isn't try 24-30 inches away from the tips...so I am sure that is the problem just too powerful for the small area. I should have bought the smaller unit just under the big bitch I got. Then I think all would have been perfect. I am going to sell it on Ebay later tonight/tomorrow.

I bought the PlatinumLED P1200 (formerly was ds 1200) see the link...I will buy two smaller ones instead next time...they do rock my plants have some very good characteristics that I didn't see on my first attempt using the 600 watt light. Unfortunately this bitch is just too big 48 pounds or something like that...http://platinumgrowlights.com/

I fit nine 5 gallon pots under one regular 1000 hps. Gavati I put 16. The smaller plants are 18 and in 3 gallon pots. They all fit in a 5x6 area. I'm giving my gavati a 6x7 pattern. New. Will see yield and raise or lower. Increase or decrease footprint. I'll let you know. Going to do them all winter.
