First time growing grapefruit, deffo not the last. Its day 56 flower today (day 63 12/12), the day 52 tester nug was some of the best smoke I've had in ages, trichrome wise its now hard to see any clears with all the cloudy so I started a weeks ice flush today will give them 48 hours dark after that.

What do you think?

Pink grow room is quite pimp imo..... as soon as my daughter flew the nest the flower room was born, shameless I know :bigjoint:This is some killer grapfruit despite this plant having my pants down the whole grow lol

Will update this with pics after weeks ice flush, and again after 48 hours dark.

Ps: yes I will finish this room off with mylar after this jungle is down lol

I say ice flush its more of just use normal tap water with a bit of ice added to the res on the first fill up, plants think its a ground frost and it helps them finish off.

Was taught to me by my grandad many years ago and not for cannabis lol, not sure how good it works as I've never compaired it to just a normal flush with no ice.... all the old boys used to do it. Not saying it works better than just a flush and it was taught to me as way of getting fruit trees to finish off quicker as it stimulates a ground frost and frost does have that effect on fruit bearers.

So ice flush = just dumping some ice into the res water once to stimulate them to finish off, the ice is just to help keep the res very cold for a few hours as if it were a nice morning frost.

I cannot provide any info to back any of this up, at least not on cannabis plants, though it is known in other fruit growing circles.

I have heard of this too somewhere else and I am going to try it with one of my plants vs the other 2 and we shall see how it goes :) Sounds like it makes sense though.....and if it came from a grandpa I'm down!

I have seen a grower use the ice flush in the final 2 weeks to purple up his indoor strain. Not a fan of it as that was his only reasoning for it but if there is any other reason I say go for it! :)

You have a lot of white hairs there for me to think it is done...I know it is hard to wait, but if you don't I think you will be losing a lot of yield...try to wait another week, or even 2.
