Weird neighbor situation!

I'm not exactly sure how paranoid I should be about this, but someone from my tiny HOA just OBVIOUSLY put their old soil in my raised bed. Obvious, because they left the stalks in and everything.

Anyway, I have a legal perpetual grow going on, and have for the last year. My situation is really secure, and unless someone went around the back of my unit and lifted up the external screen, they could not know I was venting (very scrubbed) air from out of the window.

So... is this just someone who is stupid or what? There are some people in the association that I'm fairly sure are ripping the HOA off (I'm actually about to hit them with some legal recourse) and I would not put them past doing some weird shit to try and mess with me.

The moment I discovered this, I saw a possible culprit and asked him about it. I mentioned that it looked like someone was dumping their old pot dirt in my area and not surprisingly, he didn't seem shocked and just said, "that's strange isn't it." What a weirdo... Should I give much of a shit?

I'd just shovel it back over the fence.

All I can do is just put it in the shared yard waste bin... can I get in trouble for that with Waste Management? After all, I had nothing to do with it!

remove the stalks and just turn under the soil with a hand spade wrap up the stalks in a bag and pitch them into a dumpster , keep an eye out for the jack ass dumping soil

Why not just turn it over in yer beds.

Like Robert suggested, I took out the stems and turned the soil. I grow in coco and am grateful at least that they don't... I spent some time in the rain doing a bunch of weeding around my place and just mixed the stems in with that. I decided I'm just putting it in the yard waste and if we get questions it will be interesting to see how any illegals deal with it. I can tell whoever it is is a dummy since his/her stalks were pretty pathetic; they looked like pencils...

For good measure, I asked my closest retired neighbor if they've seen anyone back there and to keep an eye out for anyone dumping anything in my raised beds. I wish I had a CCTV set up to use for this, I'd love to catch them and have a little chat 1 on 1!

i'd keep quiet about it , it would just bring extra attention onto yourself the person may have wanted you to make a big deal over it who knows ,they just finished a grow so start looking for them again in four to six mo. good luck with your meds i hope they are giving you the relief you are after ....rob
