i just bought a bag made by Scotts called Hyponex....its potting soil (but when i looked it up, many people call it peat moss) and it has no NPK....so i was thinking "ohhhhhh, this is for the people who are good at knowing when to give NPK"...like you.... but i'm going to mix it with the tropical plant mix and MG (i don't know why, just for the hell of it) and put 50% perlite... for some reason i feel like this would be a good mixture...but i am wrong a lot of times, so hey........

and you have nutes that adjusts Ph....was it expensive....

i bought some earthworms...i want to make my own fert, plus i never had worms as pets...ha

haha u r too kind:bigjoint:

do not use hyponex! whatever u use, dont use hyponex! it is the devil:fire:

sounds like a hell of a mixture if u take out the hyponex.

im not sure if u should wanna keep the earthworms as pets tho..the castings are full of nitrogen that lasts a really long time

the self ph'ing nutes were only $20 per bottle and those bottles have lasted me 2 yrs so far. I havent used them since my last time breeding, and before that i used them in my hydro setup.

Find it funny and interesting. people chime in in an area with their opinions, when it was told for them to keep out. Bitching about MG in this thread is like coming to this forum and bitching about the hazards of smoking weed. We don't wanna hear it! Keep your opinions in a forum thats entertains them. (dang, the title of the thread was to welcome MG growers and keep out the haters. Can't read? Think you are better then everyone else? Or more likely, screwed up your first grow using MG and the problem *had* to be the MG since you are *prefect*?? My money is on your screw up, will try to cover my bet with CAN'T READ.)

(gee, and all that without the preposterous over sized font. how about that?)

lol at "cushy" (KUSH-e)

in that 2nd pic that bag contains a secret bloom formula that i use..ooOOOoo

lol naa its actually a bloom formula that i lost the container for, but the npk is something like 2-52-30 or somthing like that

the perlite is all the lil extra white pebbles in my soil mixture in the 1st pic, i kinda go overboard when it comes to perlite and peat moss

and yes, I give the plants shots of different nutes depending on what they are asking for. usually when breeding my plants use up a LOT of P & K so I replace it with one of the three part organic nutes that i have. the nutes i use claim that they automatically adjust the pH for me and they can be used in both hydro and soil if i ever change setups again.

I get to play god to my plants and i love it:bigjoint:
That would be an excellent clone food because of the low level of nitrogen
Wish you still had the name of the stuff!!!!:bigjoint:

ha...my eyes widened when you said it was a secret bloom mix...ha

the bloom mix does sound special though...some high numbers

so you give the bloom mix and different shots of NPK....damn..you have a good eye for this then, i'm nowhere near that.. i still have a lot to learn

I raised my own worms for a few years. I had to set them free. Shame it was such a hot dry day and that flock of birds gobbled them up. I set them free they just did not run fast enough.

this thread is for all the people who uses MG and don't get their panties all up in a bunch.... instead of hearing,

waaaah waahhhh.... my plant burn.... i hate you MG....wahhhhh wahhhh

ummmmm, how about not overwatering (prevents burning... and why the hell are you overwatering anyway... stop babysitting your plant)
oh, how about not adding more nutes to something that ALREADY has nutes? (damn....how much do YOU eat? greedy bastards)
how about this one...buying soil just to pick out all the white stuff out of it, DOESN'T make sense.... (do you date girls that you have to makeover? i didn't think so)
PH problems? don't blame MG (PH stands for playa hater...thats right...MG has a playa hater problem...haha....stop hating all you big face bastards)

bottom line... MG doens't suck... you do...haha...

sorry...had to say this... getting tired of people on here "swearing on their lives" not to use the stuff....

people CAN and ARE ABLE TO grow with the damn thing...so please... stop given out bs... people come here for help and guidance... i understand everyone has things they like and are good suggestions/alternatives... but when i see a something like...

Newbie: i have miracle grow, 2 cfl's up my butt blah blah blah
response: don't use MG... i "HEARD" and "READ" not to use it... (stfu with the he say, she say crap... i know i'm rude..sorry)

or the other typical response: don't use it... MG burns and blah blah blah

i truly believe, if you can grow in MG... you were doing the right thing, which is basic gardening and following directions...which means you are able to adjust if you choose a different soil later on... you also know how to treat the plant and what to look for...

this excludes experience growers (unless you have beef with MG... well then...welcome, come on in, i would like to introduce you to my foot) haha.. i love this site
I would hate to smoke anything you grew.

I have no issue with MG, it can be used in a positive way but you got to use weak doses. I just wouldn't want to smoke anything the MG Nazi grew because I am sure his plants are drowning in MG.

haha go play on a highway. I have been growing one of my 5 gal pots with mg organic and a few amendments. It is growing well but its sisters are all in foxfarms ocean forest and I think the mg pot is jealous because my ffof is still kicking its ass. They are all lush and green as hell but the mg pot is like 25% roughly smaller. I think yeah mg is good soil. just Why spend so much on lighting and other shit when your soil is your limiting factor ya know? come onguys Im not trying to put anyone down im just saying that you can easily do better shelling out like 15 more bucks a bag. totally worth it. but yeah mg will grow some kill. you'll just get less. Actually I'll challenge anyone except fdd to grow a better plant indoors in mg than mine in ffof. vegging for the same time. I dont care what strain you have or light Im pretty confident in my setup. So if you wanna say you can beat a quality ammended soil with mg go for it and prove me wrong. Sorry if i come off as arrogant you very well could kick my ass I just wanna see ya feel me. so get to growing, Hell someone pull a hydro plant out of oyur set up and throw it in mg see what happens eh?

well you're quite wrong genius.... if you took time to read instead of getting your dick beaters all excited to type, you would have known i only use some MG soil mixed with tropical plant mix and mg perlite and i only used the mg plant food for vegging....whats so terrible that you're ready to fucking jump out of a window...

and you got the nerve to say you would hate to smoke anything i grew....ha... how the hell you invited yourself for a free toke...i never offered..ha

angry little man...ha

you must understand many people are not in the position to aquire many things that are considered "high quality" and what is considered high quality many times, can be achieved by different means.... and even though you may consider something trash, the next man can turn it into gold... i already explained that MG has a seed starting soil.... so many people who start their seeds or seedlings in MG 3 month release or whatever is wrong in the first place... how can you blame the soil when you started in the wrong soil... also... even though you started in the wrong soil... like i did... the seedling will grow if you don't overwater... and truthfully, watering seedlings is a bit much, when spraying seems more suitable for a seedling no matter what soil (just my opinion)... because overwatering is just plain overwatering... in this entire thread there are pics of MG grows... what is the fuss all about....

is hyponex really trash...

i looked it up and i saw a couple positive and negative reviews...

but i was thinking, if i only put about 15%.. is that really bad...

what have you heard about it...

i already use the mixture with the tropical and mg soil with perlite... and i don't have any issues besides the ones i caused...

ha... keeping the earthworms as pets was "kind of" a joke...ha....but i wanted them for the fert, but i understand you have to harvest worms also...ha... its crazy that they call it that... but yeah... ever so often you have to take out the big guys and leave the little ones so you can control the population

i am currently germinating 4 seeds (2 power skunk and 2 AK48 ) which I plan on growing in a mix ox MG potting soil, MG perlite and vericulite. I am going to do a mix of 4-2-1 in hopes that this mix will not nut burn the plants. After germination however, I am going to pu them in peat plugs which will get inserted into the pots so at least they will form somewhat before they hit the MG.

What you guys think?
