Welcoming in the new year

I've been pondering this for a few months, and decided that I will be experiencing this new year without my dreads. Had them for 5 years and 6 months and I feel it's time for the most important hair cut I will prob ever have

Prob sounds crazy to anyone that doesn't have em or ever had for a significant amount of time, but it honestly feels like I am willingly going to cut off a limb tomorrow, they are a part of me, but one I knew I would part ways with one day... Anyways..

Thanks for letting me write this out as a official goodbye to my dreadies and a thank u to all the friends, talks, compliments, and kick downs and everything else I've gotten because of them

farewell to lotus' dreads

i never had dreads, but i did have an unruly bodacious curly afro past my shoulders. had it for a couple years. had a lot of intereaction with other people regarding it as well. just recently ive gotten a buzz cut.

feels....different lol

I know how you feel, I had a 'fro back in 2008 but my employer doesn't allow "dangerous hairstyles" :( but here's to a new start, which hairstyle are you going for next?

Thank you both!!! Yea iam going for that different feeling haha, I've gotten too used to the shocked stares as I adventure around with these ropes... I don't know what iam gonna do as far as "styling" goes just a normal mens haircut I guess..I just gotta be the one to cut em off.. The best part is no one knows iam gonna do this, not even my girlfriend haha

then theres those several months afterwards where you periodically meet friends or acquaintances that last saw you with the dreads. youll have to endure there genuine shock and surprise over and over and over again. obviously this depends on how many people you know :)

I wouldnt know how either.
I plug the usb cable into my camera, it uploads pix to my computer.
I resize the pix and click that squarish icon on the top of every post.
Click the square icon and it asks you where the photo is.
You tell it where to find it and click upload and it will appear in your text.
Double click it and pick a large size.
Rollie like photos re-sized to 800X600.

Give it a test try.

You should be able to find a link in your flickr app on your phone. Fuck flickr though!
I've had my hair cut every few years and its always a big experience. Wrong time of year to do it if you're in the northern hemisphere IMO. Enjoy!
