Well I screwed up a perfect grow with a broken power strip... 6 weeks flower then 1 week re-veg!!!

Yes it's true, and I just can't believe it. Six weeks into flowering, a truly perfect grow with huge buds, and I fucked up. Everything was going amazing, I'm 12 years into growing, and it's even a new strain I've bred myself (Blueberry x Dutch Treat CBD). My power strip died so I installed a new one but stupid me, plugged it into the WALL instead of the TIMER!!

Being 6 weeks into flower I never, ever go into my grow room with the lights out... so I didn't even know the lights weren't going out. Plants started getting funky, weird problems, unusual growth, unexpected nutrient deficiency style problems, then I finally figured it out. I figure it was a full 1 week of 24/0 after 6 weeks of 12/12!!!!

Now we're back to 12/12 but what's going to happen? How long will it take to re-flower these ladies? I was going to harvest next week, I'm thinking I'm delayed by at least 2 weeks now. And maybe I'll get hermies too, in a way that's okay because I'm using one of the plants for breeding anyway, but jeez...

Advice? Thoughts? Human error sucks!

Did this very thing myself except I forgot to set a new timer switch. Noticed strange growth and realized they were revegged. I even thought to myself hmm they must be foxtailing...and then did nothing about it until about a week later.
The only advice I can give you is to be very patient. Any plants that were close to being ripe will now be pushed back at least 2 to 4 weeks depending upon how long it takes to transition back. The good thing is that once they are back into flowering again they sort of pick up where they left off. Well at least the older bud will; any new pistils that grew after the reveg will require another full bloom cycle to finish. After a few weeks of refllowering I ended up taking some of the top most buds that were furthest along and making wax. Then step harvesting the rest of the plants later on which seemed like it took forever to finish. Still got some decent smoke even tho the buds were fuckin oogly. Good luck; here's to a speedy recovery.....

Great response, thank-you! I knew I'd find someone else who had the same problem. I really appreciate all the replies here, thanks guys. I'll just be patient I guess. I was hoping to hear the plants will pickup where they left off once they start flowering again, and that's what you experienced. Awesome. This grow was right down to the wire from a timing perspective, I had planned it to finish early next week because I have a trip to Europe with the family late next week, and have a buddy who agreed to look after the final cure for me. Everything was going so well, perfect really, until... well, I fucked up. Now I'll just ride it out, monitor the trichomes and chop & cure after I get back.

If the harvest is delayed 2-4 weeks I'll just ride it out and let the grow continue while I'm away... everything is fully automated so it will survive, I'm runing DTW (drain-to-waste) but will setup recirculating for a couple of weeks while I'm away so I don't run outta water. Every grow I learn something new, sometimes the hard way. I'm a technology guy, I'm going to build a computer controller to manage my lights and pumps, using all sorts of temp, light, water, and PH sensors with commodity parts so that I never, ever have this issue again. The software will control the timing of the lights and pumps and have added fail-safes so it can figure out the lights are on when they shouldn't be and alert me, or temps are too high, or too much water, etc. When I have this controller built and perfected I'll sell it to everyone for cheap so people can afford to buy it and enjoy computerized automation, maybe even publish the plans, unlike those $2,000 controllers out there these days.

I'll post an update once the plants re-flower and I figure out a new harvest time when I'm back from Portugal.... where they decriminalized all drugs, but all I want is some quality weed while on vacation. :-)

Yeah know I had something d
Somewhat similar happen. I pulled the timer off my wall to move it to a new outlet , and I must have pushed a few of the timer pins in when putting it into the new outlet. After 5 weeks of flower my lights were coming on for 2 hours right in the middle of its dark period. So at the 6th hour of darkness lights would come on for 2 hrs. Then back off for 4hrs. Like you stated, I never check my tent when the lights are suppose to be off. Unfortunately I didn't notice this for almost 2 full weeks. Only reason I realized was I was at home when I am usually not suppose to be , and I heard my intake fan running which only turns on when the lights come on. And they were suppose to be off. Some how ...some way I saw zero negative effects . My plants finished on time. No reveg. Or foxtail. Or anything. They were all photos not autos as well so I dunno how that works but I was even running 4 different strains . I couldn't believe it lol. Sorru for this pointless rant just thought id share
