Well, it might be ugly but I built it

It's not Cree or Vero, and it is ugly to boot, but I figured why risk frying good equipment on my first try at wiring up one of these fellers. On the plus side, It's bright as shit, and all told the parts cost me a whopping $15, so I consider it money very well spent for the learning experience. Now I'm getting close to feeling confident enough to invest in some quality components and really put together something nice. Hopefully my laziness holds out until a new generation of chips come out and the old ones drop a bit in price, cuz I'm a cheap bastard, but that's beside the point. Anyways, behold!

By any chance do you have a parts list, specs, or PPFD data?
I need a veg light and am considering a DIY LED cheapie.

Plants veg very well with cfl's bulbs. The problem with cfl is they tend to have to be constanly adjusting the distance of the bulbs so they don't burn the leaves.
I use cfl's to get my grows going, but within two months they are no longer used as I then go to straight MH bulbs to do the work... Much easier, but the cost does go up some. Good luck in your journey.

I have a need for more coverage from a light - I have a plant I need to keep in veg that's about two and a half feet wide.
