Well Water

I just started a new room in CO in the middle of a very cold winter and got bugs very quickly. I have been treating them to no avail. Until yesterday i was changing one of my 70 gall rez's and noticed that there was some fucking larva/worm looking shit in the bottom of the freshly cleaned rez. I have been feeding my girls fresh bugs with every rez change.:wall:
Needless to say, i will be using city water from here on out:bigjoint:Maybe this will be helpful to anyone using their well water.

the bugs if you're talking maggot type larvae probably came from flies in either your medium- sometimes they can breed in cubes- or breeding in a jar of cloning gel or nutrient solution left open. I know because it happened to me in CO. Granted it was summer but it can happen if you are careless or if there are flies etc accessing your medium, esp w organic nutients which have a lot more solids. If using rock wool u might have to cover them with membrane...

This was uncirculated water that i was filling my rez with. No chance that it came from any where else but the tap of my well. That water might be ok for the horses but not for my girls. I am now treating with nematodes, lady bugs , H2o2 in water and i dip my little ones in a weak insectacite. I will kill the bastards.

Hey HITMAN what is the EC of your well water. Mine is 1.4. Should I only add enought nutrients to bring it up to 1.8 or subtract 1.4 from 3.2 to get the right reading on meter?
