I think it is due to an old arcade game. It was a sit-in type by my recollection. It had big speakers and used that sound-bite a lot.

or was that Astroblaster...and I think it used to say "Fighter pilots are needed in sector wars; play Astroblaster". ....

Actually I think I am wrong about my recollections. I now think that an early 80s shareware game that made unauthorized use of the Star Wars franchise was responsible for my insanely high recognition of "in the pipe 5x5". Yes, I know it is an Aliens quote. It was anachronistic. Can anybody back me up on this? I doubt that it has much to do with others' reasons for remembering this immortal line. But then again, Aliens had some good dialogue. Game over man, game over.

I have the same affliction some random line of dialogue will stick in my brain like an ear worm and lately it's been a line from a total waste of celluloid.
