What are the best organic soil/nutrients? What should i add to my grow?

soil: fox farm ocean forest
veg nutes: none
flower nutes: nirvana adv nutes (0-0-1)

i have yet to buy any other nutes due to lack of money and knowledge. so what are the best organic nutes? and for the best price? do i even need any other nutes? should i use a different soil? i have grown once before using only fox farm soil and nirvana and was pleased with the results. i would just like to know if i need to add anything to make it better. fell free to leave any advice, it will be appreciated. thanks

I liked the General Organics line. You can get a whole kit box for $40 that will do a dozen plants from start to finish. More if you get another bottle of the CaMg

I use advanced iguana grow and bloom as my organic nutrients. As for soil, I use ffof with about 30 percent added perlite.

Many folks are going with Organic Teas like Iguana Juice and Mother Earth; I love both! Kinda pricey but great organic nutes

If it aint broke, why try fixing it?

If you're gonna go organic, I recommend you start out with Espoma nutes. www.espoma.com Readily available almost anywhere, and top notch quality. I recommend the BioTone Starter Plus as your first nutrient. You can do an entire grow with great results. They carry almost everything you need for a full on organic grow (Greensand, Cottonseed meals, kelp meal, etc). YOu mix into the soil and just water from there. You can also top-dress it in. I'd use something other than FF soils, but that's me.

I just want to add and remind every one going out to purchase Espoma Tone products... because Espoma products are awesome, but you really need to, whenever possible, check for the Production or Sell-By date on the bag. If it was made over 2 years ago, or it is passed the Sell-By inform the retailer, if possible and see if they have more current stock.

If it is more than two years old don't buy it, go somewhere else if you can.

Fertilizer has virtually unlimited self-life, but the microbes do not. A lot of retailers either have remaining, or put out the oldest stock they have (from last or prior seasons) to sell before they restock (or even order any more, in some cases). The retailer might not even be aware that the age of the product affects the nature\performance of it. The product may perhaps work just as well 3 years after manufacture, if stored in ideal conditions.
