What are the laws about growing 6 plants outdoor? Am I crazy ?

Hello everybody , guess a small intro is due. I'm NEW to the MM and have not smoked any since 1979. I just got a Medical Reccomendation for my wife and will be getting one for me in a couple of weeks. (I'm on so many pills my blood workup came back with bad numbers for my kidneys and I have a job where 3 or 4 times a year they do a random due to DOT regulations)

So let me ask this crazy question , because in my many hours of reading in here and all over the web, I came across ( do not remember) where that you can grow 6 plants outside ? like your well fenced back yard, as long as you have a CURRENT Medical card?

Is there any LEGAL truth to this?

I have helicopters flying over constantly, and just have 5 new 1" baby plants sprouting (Sea of Seeds) have to send some respect out to them, i have done every dumb thing that a Extremely anxious person like me could do. finally in soil from the hydroshop in Cerritos.

norml.org has the laws for each state and each county. Don't worry about the helicopters unless they circle you or stay above you for a long time. I don't think they can see the seedlings yet.
The counties can set their own rules for outdoor vs indoor . Local authorities work with feds though like Butte Inter agency task force and guys like that. prop 215 sort of protects from local authorities hopefully.

Some cities and/or counties you can grow more, i.e. Santa Cruz. Some cities, like Fresno I think, you can't grow outside (maybe greenhouses are permissible).

You can grow whatever you can defend a need for. My neighbor can grow 18 plants for himself since he makes a lot of edibles and tinctures. Six is the generally accepted baseline though.

Each County seat will have their own MJ laws..
Some require you to have the grow inside an contained 4 walled area (with a roof).. for outside..
Some CO's say you need to be xx feet from a school or public institution etc..
Most CO's allow the 6/6 rule but S.F allows 24.. as does other areas within the same state..
so it's a crap shoot as too what laws you need to follow since the State allows one thing.. the CO may restrict what the State allows and the Feds well... you know..



BTW.. I used MJ to get myself off of ALL my meds after 22 years of use..
If your DR is giving you pain killers ask them about Marinol or Sativex and see if you can try them.. (this may allow you to use the real MJ while still being ok with the DOT ..? so when the test you and it shows THC you can say well its the marinol..

LMAO oh thank god for this post I'm totally stressing out. I am NOT cut out to be a seed germinator. I think if I start posting all the stupid shit I have done so far and only have 2 living babies and they look like they are going to die.

I just failed my blood work ups, (this is for me medically not a random) went back this morning and got my results online, I just passed by 1 point. problem for me is I CAN't use pot as we get randoms at work (transportation company, and mine is ANAL like the DEA) so anyways I have not taken any of my lithium or well butrin for a week in order to see if my tests would improve as well as my daily 2 or 3 Vicodins. so I'm taking it out on these poor seeds. Just put my last 6 in a paper plate with paer towls like all the other 12 so far, this time i will put them into a mat / tray called Rapid Rooter with a lid on it and will see if they do better than putting the rock wool into the Ocean Forrest potting soil.

I've only found one (I think) online place in the Los Angeles area that sells the clones already like 6" tall, but will have to go that route it seems

thanks for making me laugh. oh BTW the meds are for my wife (nasty migraines all her life) and my adult Autistic son , that never sleeps just like his mother (they are like Vanpires) me when on Lithium and Wellbutrin and Vicodin , I sleep in the middle of the freeway

So if I have a recomendation for my wife (and I do) and about to get one for adult son, the it would stand to reason 12 adults would be ok? if I ever get to a adult stature that is

Yes, provided you don't have any greenhouse or indoor only laws in your town,you should be fine.

I found it kinda weird that they wouldn't spell that shit out for you...instead of you having to figure it out on your own. If your legit...no need to worry about cops...just rippers.

For now it will be ONLY indoors, it's just i saw some posts that acted like it was no issue. me I'm too scared and paranoid to ever do it out there. besides I have one neighbor, that is as nosy as can be, funny thing is, when he goes to work , sin son lights up in the backyard and even I can get high off of it. LOL

I provide for 8 people in my house including 2 grand kids and can never go to jail, or they will all be on the streets. i use a VPN provider and then on top of that use TOR browser and TOR email to do any serious talks or orders on the net just in case

No the people that we got the ( I hate saying recommendation, I think I will start calling it my SECOND green card (not born here LOL )medical papers from did not say much, we just took the wife's prescriptions , and we talked this cool looking older gent , and walked out of there. the only thing they asked was if we wanted to pay 10.00 for a cheesy looking wallet card. I'm so scared and paranoid, I keep looking at your " I love Bush" and paranoia is running all over my body LMAO

TRUE , I'm inside the Los Angeles county line almost in Orange County, and it looks like i fall under the default laws of 6 adult trees

Yeah in Fresno County we can have our 6/12/1 but they have to be indoors, no more outdoor growing. Like other posters have said, check to see what guidelines your city/county has for growing. If you're not sure , abide by the strictest rules and go under that. You can also get a caregiver card for added protection to grow for other people too. I had my Girlfriend (that lives with me) go to the doctor with me and her card so I can get CG card lol. Do your best do keep it inside, even window sills to start out. You just don't want problems with BS neighbors. Good luck sir and if you need help with anything I can try my best (first time grower also)

You do know a caregiver card means you have to do more than grow for the patient, right? I remember seeing a court ruling about that a while ago.

Also if his GF lives with him he wouldnt need to be a caregiver. They just need to post both rec's up in the room and they should be fine for 12 plants.

thank you, it's important to be on the safe side, in my case my wife and my son live with me. I just need to now look into how the card info is kept, I'm a bit worried who gets to see who has a MMJ card ? I work for one of the largest companies in the world and I know how they look into people's back grounds. so I will stay away from a card for myself until I find out more. meanwhile I will be getting one for son soon.

So I take it that the "card" 8x10 REC w=my wife got has to be posted ? in the room were the plants are kept ? I saw some videos too were they went after people for doors NOT being locked in houses were minors live ? ( I think that was Colorado ? )

That too. My neighbor grows for him, his wife, and his buddy with no issues. As long as you have a scrip to account for all of your plants, you generally seem to be good.

To help you with the paranoia...if you're growing 12 instead of 6...even if you didnt have an extra rec to justify it...the chance that local PD will ever come to your house is slim. Dont tell anyone you grow, be nice to your neighbors and don't piss your wife of and the cops will never come. They aren't actively searching for little grows like you are planning. I had a 4 lighter and when riverside got called to my house he didn't even check plant count...just told me to hide it better and went on his way.

that was a cool cop, it's nice to run into those.
as for the wife LMAO I have been pisiing her of for 36 years now, no cops yet
