so I just watered them or fed them or both? lol just watered in the tea. so like when will I notice if my soil still has food in there.. or if I'm really defecient? cause my N def is getting worse.
patience. it will take some time for your microbes to get to work. if you want to, pick up some fish hydrolysate. Neptune's or OrganicallyDone brand. they recommend you add 1tbsp per gallon of water, and that can be diluted to whatever strength you see fit. if you have Kelp meal and Alfalfa meal, i'd go with that for a tea next. 1/8 cup of each in 3 gal of water, brew for 24hrs, and hit em with that. the kelp will help ease stress on the plant (so will aloe vera!!!!!), and the alfalfa should get you some N, as well as some growth hormones and other things. you can dilute this 1:1 with straight water if you like.

fwiw, i had the same thing going on that you do a couple runs ago when i was getting off my bottled nutes and had essentially an unamended soil, and my N def. didn't really ever stop. but i was afraid of overdoing the N in flower.

but i still developed some good buds that were tasty and good smoke. the plant just did not perform to how i know it performs.

you could also try and lightly topdress a few raw amendments and work them into the soil before your next watering.

are you flowering yet or no? i can't remember

I'll see if my homie can get ahold of the hydrolysate, and that stuff is just dissolved into water or when you say 1 tbsp to a gallon is that recipe for a tea brew?

also I have kelp and alfalfa in dry ammendments by down to earth.. will that work or? I don't think it's water soluble but I believe percentages of npk in there are water soluble. it's says something like that on their website.

thats exactly what I'm afraid of. overdoing n this far in my first grow. but then I'm not too worried. cause I see plants get harvested with some really dark green leaves, I've also read debates on people that flush last 2 weeks or so to dilute the npk and others say they don't. idk who's smoke was better.

about the top dress I have the original mix of ammendments stored in a container that I built my super soil with. it has like a cup of all my dry ammendments mixed. and I also have a super soil cooking now.. sitting, composting all my ammendments. can I make a tea of that.? I've read someone doing that too. I think it was norcalmmj

flushing is unnecessary with living soil. it's to remove chemical salts and built up nutrient residues. you're not using any of that stuff, so no flushy.

yes kelp and alfalfa tea. mix the dry in your 3gal brewer as i suggested, 24hrs, water it in. you can dilute 1:1 with plain water if you want to. not necessary.

the hydrolysate is just dissolve into water, correct.

ok for the topdressing of amendments, you probably don't need much. i will need to know the size of your containers to tell you how much though. you will sprinkle it on top of the soil, and work it in by breaking up the topsoil. then water it in. if you are able to get some plain old straw or some dried canna leaves (you should have some if you're saving the N deficient ones) use a mulch to cover the top of your soil. will help the top from drying out and provide shade for microbes/mycelium so they can get to work on the stuff you just put up there for them. you follow?

piss in a 5 gallon bucket, and add four gallons of water. then water them. Done.
if you have any left over, give it to your landscaping plants and watch them green-up.

that doesn't look that bad, i think i've said it three times, maybe four, outside the sun is strong... so you will run out of nitrogen if the plant doesn't have ample soil to obtain the nutrients from. If anything the plant is rootbound, and like I said before, you are going to have more problems with rain and humidity than you will with anything else, you have a LONG-ass ways to go man.
Me personally?
wouldn't do anything at all.
the yellowing leaves are SHADED... it's normal.
yea, sure it could use nitrogen, but being rootbound is the issue
and feeding I don't think will help the plant from doing what is normal, and that's dropping shaded leaves.

yeah you got almost a cuft of soil per plant... so you could topdress and work in about 1/4-1/2 cup of your total amendment mix, maybe mix it with some worm casting if you have room, and then cover with mulch and water in. they'll get to work on that, and shouldn't burn your plants because it will take time for the roots to grow up that way, and they will grow up that way lol.

i will say, your N def. looks just like mine did. i didn't have a good soil to use a topdressing of amendments though at the time. but your plants look happy and healthy other than the N def. praying really nice. let's not overdoo this though. the fish hydro is a temporary thing until microbes eat and excrete some of those topdressed amendments (if you go that route).

so would you suggest doing both? cause yeah I don't wanna over do it.

and you're saying those measurements of my mix per pot correct?

yeah per fabric. The fish hydrolysate will act fastest because it is quickest available. after a week or two you shouldn't need it anymore as the amendments in your topdressing should get you through to the end.

can you tell me your amendments again? i kind of forget. you said they're all mixed together and you just scooped that mix as a whole, into your base soil at a certain amount per cuft. correct?

yeah my soil was taking three cups of this mix per cf. it has 1cup of epsoma plant tone, alfalfa, crab, neem, and 2 cups kelp and fish bone meal..

how would I be definite that I am pot bound. I don't wanna fix something that isn't broken. I'm in 7 gallon smart pots and idk how to see if I am.

from the size of that plant, and the amount of soil in the container, i'd say it's relatively a safe bet you are rootbound.
