i am new to the forum and growing, i have 3 newly sprouted (boy's i believe).
right now i have them in soil and the use sun light for most of the day then florescent for a couple of hours, and i want to put them on uvb for all of there light but i dont know if there is any better choice(that i can afford).
also they are tall and thin, is that b/c of the florescent light?

any help at all is welcome

well its tall and lanky cause its starving for light as for the uv i wouldnt use it...not much useful lights...my advice go to walmart and buy a flourescent shop light and two plant and aquarium lights, and start saving money for a hps system... theres a 400w system with ballast, light and reflector for 109 usd plus 40 for shipping....thats about the cheapest you will find...there are other options outhere but search this sight for lighting info...its a great site for info...it's what it is here for for.

i was at a riteaid last night and i saw a 36" flourescent tube with the fixture for 20$
but on the package it said 750 lumens, and the cfls were 1200-1700 lumens,
i think i will get 4 or 6 of those for now,and 4 more later when the get bigger.
why did the 36" tube have half the cfls had?
