What could I do with this?

I've never grown indoor before but I want to. Nothing big, just a couple of plants. I want to grow in soil and use HO T5's. I know HPS would be better, but I don't want heat issues. I was thinking of getting a 4 foot 4 bulb fixture and using some single 4 foot HO T5's that I already have for side lighting.

So I'm wondering what could I grow with this amount of lights? How big of a space would this be sufficient for, and if this was what you had to work with, how many plants would you grow, start to finish. I'm aware that HPS would give much better results, especially for flowering, but it's just not really an option for me right now.

If you use 1 gal pots you can do 5. Use smart pots.

How long would you veg with 1 gallon pots?

You just put lights on for 24 hrs a day. no veg and flower cycle.Some people run the 20-4 or 18-6. You get the most with a 24 hr deal.

I'm not sure I understand the no veg and flower cycle. How do they flower without 12/12? I don't want to grow autos.

Sorry. You can grow from seed or clone starting off. I would probley veg on a 18-6 cycle for two weeks and then switch to a 12-12.
