Mapp gas is your friend.water under pressure...never a favorite.
took me years to trust my copper pipe sweating skills.
and for those tought to get spots...I love me some sharkbites.
Clean the copper well, use plenty of flux and apply the heat to where you want the solder to go.water under pressure...never a favorite.

Watch the mapp (love that stuff) - you don't need much & it gets hot quick!

heat the fitting.
propane has been good for me, always seem to have it around.
takes a bit longer but was less likely to burn down a customers house
used a sharkbite on the last connection in my master bath shower renovation.
I'll be getting a couple bottles of mapp gas when I start body leading the old ford.

I cut my leg a couple of days ago so I sat on the side of the tub to wash the cut and part of the shower curtain was under my ass when I shifted my weight the shower rod came down on my fucking head and almost knocked me out!"Dad the toilet is clogged and I can't get it to flush." @0500!
Plunger hasn't gotten it yet, time to improvise, or go get a toilet snake. The hits keep on coming.
