What do i do right before FLowering?

i've read many different conflicting data that says i should leave my plants in darkness for 3 days. i've also read i can just switch to an hps bulb and 12/12 when i want to start flowering


so what is the optimal method for plants without stressing them

Everyone has their methods... and I've never tried anything special. I've always just switched to 12/12. Never plan on doing anything differently. I'm happy with my results.

just go straight from 18/6 to 12/12.
but plan when you want your light on before switching.(day or night cycle).

ive heard that a dark period of 24 - 48 hours increases resin production, as resin is produced in the dark, I use 24. Most people probably dont use a dark period. I suggest to harvest in the dark, after a dark period, if you choose to use one.
