Okay i know this is a crazy ass topic on this site but at this point i really dont know anymore what i have and what is it capable of producing in grams. Can someone who knows wtf their talking about help me pls. I have 2 galaxyhydro 300 watt lights. Now i know thats not true watts and all that but i keep hearing different things. Basically i dont care about watts i care about what i can get off these. There both under 1 plant.

Yea i know theres a bunch of variables that come into play. Imagine if you had these lights and grew in soil. What do you think you could get out of them? Could these lights be capable of producing a pound? Half pound? Qp? Someone told me basically the most i would get in the best of situations would be 4 ounces. Its 600watts led but i know that isnt true watts. Ive read tht i can expect .5 grams per watt fairly easy so does that mean these lights could do as good as 300 grams?

It actually dont sound to far off dirt hell it might be right on the money. I guess my real question is do i go by true watts or equivalent watts? 600watts of led is 300 true watts right?

.5 per watt is in your ball park probably but with so many unknowns its impossible to say. For rule of thumb purposes assuming a healthy grow .5 per watt would be a good starting goal

It's not equivalent. I explained this in the other thread. You have 260 watts. Your math should be based on that.

Yea i know what you said johnny and you seem like you know what youre talking about but you gotta understand youre the 10th person to tell me something different lol and im just confused on what i got and what i can do with it. Peoples said that a 300w led is really 145w + 5%. Others have said that 300w led is equivalent to about 250w hps idk i just wanna grow fat pretty buds lol

No way is that jimmy from GOODF lol?

Who knows what you have with regards to actual wattage my advice get is get an energy consumption meter

https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/231123161030?chn=ps&dispItem=1&adgroupid=43184106213&rlsatarget=pla-517583401632&abcId=1128966&adtype=pla&merchantid=101726038&poi=&googleloc=1006656&device=c&campaignid=856325497&crdt=0

But this will only tell you half the story because you will need to know how efficient the diodes in your fixture are, seeing as they are shitty Mars and judging from the price I am going to say they are not that efficient, maybe 30%.

I also see it is missing Green, Yellow and Deep Red, Ouch.

So with all the variables above in play what can you expect?

From what I can see your lamps actual draw is supposedly 135 watts (manufacturers claim which in this case doesn't mean spit) although someone seems to have measured it near that in the review section here https://www.amazon.com/Galaxyhydro-Indoor-Lights-Spectrum-Flower/dp/B00PH1MQV8
..... from that 135watts/30% = 40.5watts of actual light (Ooouch) x 2 lights = 81watts of actual light give or take, now let's say you get everything perfect (4 week Veg perfect environment) and hit say 1.5 - 2gpw (Strain dependent) then you should yield about 121.5 to 162 grams.

In this game, you really do get what you pay for, and I am sorry to say but the cheap shit products simply cannot cut it at the top flight level, largely due to crappy components. Unfortunately, people get sucked into these marketers scams of false advertising and false economy (with regards to their pricing strategy) and they usually end up falling into the falsehood of "LEDs" don't work:o

Those lights are cheap for a reason Bro!

multiply the number of main branches by the number of weeks you plan to veg: for example 8 mains x 4 weeks veg under 445 actual watts of led with a 190 cfm worth of fans. Your math goes like this:

(8*4)/445-190= grams dried yield
Now that's a first for me, but if it works for you who am I to argue lol:lol:

I think you looked up the wrong one mines not a mars its galxyhydro and it does have green yellow and deep red. I also have a 24w deep red flowering led bulb on it as well. I know its not a awesome light by any means but ive seen grow journals on this cery site with people using the exact same light getting the same yields as 250w hps.
