What do you do with your trims?

Dear GentleFolks,

I have been collecting all the leaves, twigs and branches that I trim off my plants. Discarding them upsets me. So I dried the plant material, blended it into a powder and fed some to my worms today to see what happens.
I assume the active substances in these plant material would be close to zero so I do not think I would do anything more than dry/blend it.

What do you people do with your leaves etc?

Then don't do it ...leave them on the plant unless you are harvesting

then chop to one inch pieces and add to your compost or teas

my clients don't favor the 'merican method of trimming to little balls

so for the last few years I have been trimming down to about 30% of the 'merican method

leaving the sugar or water leaves attached

otherwise my stoners say I'm ripping them off...?

Leaf goes to Horses ....and nice straight branches il use to support little ones in the next grow .....not to save money ....just because I've always done that for some strange reason.......some people juice fresh/frozen fan leafs ....I actually have an article about it il try to find ....I get sent lots of stuff because my sister is a studied patient ....she has cerebral palsy and mmj has stopped her seizures 100% .....I grow for her and others like her ...as well as cancer patients.

Good thing yours doing there mate ! The uk definitely needs to pass medical cannabis soon, it's proven to stop seizures but they still rather not even bother with it

Yes sir! That's great news on your sister, I'm really happy to hear that. Juicing is the favored method for all things medical. The fibrous plant material makes a mean green smoothie chock full of cancer killing terpenes and vitamins/minerals. We're up for vote here in a couple of weeks for medical, fingers crossed!

There are so many studies on the benefits of mmj that it just makes NO sense it isn't already legal. It really burns me up how many suffer needlessly because it isn't ready. My dad (and mom for that matter) might both still be here today, (or at the very least had longer to be with us), had they legalized years ago.

Unfortunately we here in the land of the free have neither a parliment nor a functioning democracy. All we have is king trump and his half-wit jester jeff sessions. Oh, and a bunch of inbreeds that take from the poor and give to the rich.

In the US, cannabis is classified as having no medical benefit and all research is banned at the federal level. It remains federally illegal to provide it to even terminally ill patients.

You are waaaaaaay ahead of us.

We should have had this time and time ago but it's only just now their actually speaking about it, just got to bloody hope it gets passed this January people should be allowed it anyway never mind just for medical purposes, it shouldn't be illegal full stop

Yup! And don't forget big pharma would lose a significant amount of their profits if it ever goes full legal. Reports are already in showing oxycodone abuse has gone down since since approval of medical. God forbid people use natural therapies (like mmj) instead of all the synthetic crap they've been shoving down our throats for years. :roll:

At least now CBD oil is available all U.S. residents, I know several people that would never touch mj that are ordering and using it for various issues from seizures to ADHD.:clap:

When I top my plants, or clean out the middles/remove lower branches I save everything and blend it up in a food processor with water. I then either ferment that for a month or just let it soak for a week in a bucket and add it to my next feed. The plants LOVE both. I usually have enough to do both processes throughout a season. My buddy mulches all his stuff and top dresses back into his pots.
