Take performance claims with a grain of salt.
Why not look at more known brands ?
I have a well known brand led that cost around $1000 each. I figure if i can essentially get the same light for half the price then why not. They use samsung diodes and inventronics driver which is the same as hlg and other big names but maybe im missing something that makes this light not worth it?

I bought two of those EGL 650-Si for the same reason you stated. Same LED chips and driver as the companies charging $900+ for a light but actually affordable.
I'm 4 weeks into flower and am pretty happy with my decision to try them out. So far, I recommend these lights!

What do you think, about the HYPHOTONFLUX HPF4000 on Amazon?
Nothing. Never hear of it. Not up much on LEDs as have been growing under HIDs since '82.

Standard procedure with questions like yours is to supply a link. Not that I could tell you much.

Did you read the warranty book they wrote? They left themselves a lot of wiggle room. Won't replace an led strip unless more than 10% is out, could be replaced with remanufactured parts, and "Adequate records of operating history, maintenance, and/or testing must be kept by the end user and provided to Eagle Grow upon request to substantiate that the LED Products have failed to comply with the terms of this Limited Warranty."
What is most worrisome is this part "IN NO EVENT SHALL EAGLE GROW BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, WHETHER AS THE RESULT OF BREACH OF CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE)"

Damn. I read up into the warranty and after looking at a few other companies, 10% or greater seems to be standard.
I was going to buy the Lux LED lights but their warranty is only 3 years compared to this company which was 5.
The components, detachable parts and price is what sold me.
Don't make me hate my purchase! jk
