Afternoon everyone, I’m venturing into Hydroponics From COCO. Just wanted to ask the big community at Grass City what they dislike the most about growing with Hydroponics! Just so I’m ready and prepared to experience this! Thanks to all responders. Bless up!!!

He's been copying and pasting to every forum and forgot to edit his last post. OP is clever but not smart. He has no subtlety, and had he some he may have eluded instant detection. I believe he is doing R&D for his stoner dream of a start up ( I shouldn't mock - I have one too) and is relatively benign, although in poor taste.

Technically, growing with Coco is considered "hydroponics". Hydroponics is defined as growing in any soilless medium.

What type of hydroponic technique are you switching to? The very easiest is a 5-gallon bubbling bucket. You can build one for less than $25, and is a great way to get you feet, and some roots, wet. It's so easy to grow incredible plants in a DWC, and DWC can range anywhere from being extremely inexpensive and simple, to a super charged, weed-growin' monster machine that you've invested both time and money into. Something you tinker with and fine tune all the time.

Each system has it's weak points, and with some, those weak points can be many. With my 4-plant rdwc/under current, I have a water pump, air pump, 2" pipes and connectors, bulkheads, etc...any of which could be disastrous upon failure. That's why you have to keep a close eye on it. It takes work to maintain a hydroponic system. But for me, it's totally worth it!

Am super passionate about growing so I don't dislike anything about it at all.

Build yourself a cheapo-diy bubble bucket. Only set you back about $20. Lots of tutes on how to make one. Great place to start!

I think I own plenty of buckets at this point. But that's a great idea for someone starting out ... lol

That's halarious I have that very same pump he used in video and use those buckets as well for general utility use.

Are those buckets good for connecting a fitting at bottom though they seem weaker then a black hydro bucket?

Basically can they take a RDWC fitting tightly without cracking or warp from cold water and also drilling a hole cleanly for fittings.

Yep, they'll work with pipes and bulkheads. Check out my rdwc uc build in my 2017 grow room link below.

I did end up switching to totes, which you'll see later on in the thread. The buckets were a little finicky with the 2" pipes I was using. But with some aquarium sealant, you could make them stable.
