What equipment should I get first??? I need advice,...please comment

okay i have a dilemma, im runnin a 400mh for flower at the moment, should i get a hps conversion bulb or spend the extra and get a 600hps setup, i plan on putting this into a 4x4x7 grow tent that i dont have yet. or should i get the grow tent now and wait on the light or my final option get an inline fan and carbon filter so i can start growin some stinky buds, ive been stickin with northern lights cause its a nuetral smell. any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated

i would go for the tent and the conversion bulb first, the filter and fan next, then put a 1000hps in your 4x4.

danm a thousand watt in a 4x4 area sounds like over kill so does 600 lol but i guess if you got the ventilation for it.
save the cash for nutes and other things youll need down the line get a conversion bulb should do just fine

1000 watt light in a 4X4 is exactly right for optimal growing conditions.

I used MH for flowering once (testing the uvb factor out on trich production) and the bud was good, just fluffier than using the same wattage HPS..

Edit: I also wondered if you are just doing a grow at a time, or perpetual since you already have some flowering..

Provided you can keep temps down, its kinda hard to have too much light but it is possible. The 1000 will give you DENSE fat nugs from every plant you can pack in a 4x4

I have all the nutes. Im using Dutch Nutrient Formula. Ive got enought supplies to do either a promix grow or hydro. Im thinking im goin hydro this next grow tho. The items I need that I dont have yet are as follows
4x4x7 grow tent
600 - 1000 hps
thinking I want the switchable lumatek electronic ballast
Inline fan (havent figured out how many cfm i need to move yet)
Can filter
digital ph pen
and sprayers so i can build my own cloner
other then that I have pretty much everything else, Im just finishing my third grow and ive noticed the fluffy buds. dense but not dense enough.

++lumatek, you cant dim them 1000w, but the 600w is perfect. You can run 400-440-600 or super lumens. But I too agree that 1000w is just ridiculous in a 4x4x7 room. I run mine at 400w with open hood and its hotter than africa, unless you are going to spend some loot on a crap load of ventilation. Hood style is of importance when factoring heat and vent needs. I get dense fat ass nuggets too, but I grow a medicinal stash and got my potions mix just right to get the most of my light.Good growing.

i'm using 1000hps in a 4x4x6 closet and my girls love it. just make sure you can cool it.

I have a 4x4x7 tent and run a 600 watt hps, until I got the magnum xxl hood ($200) I thought I needed a 1000 watts. Now I just barley have enough coverage.

If you get a bigger light you will probably need the ventilation as soon as you start to use the light, so you pretty much need all the parts in place before you can start, sorry.
