What happen to the smell.....

Well I thought I had did everything right... My plants looked good and smelled wonderful...Even when I use to check them to see if they where ready...The scent was sooo strong on my finger tips...Now since i started to let them dry.. the smell is getting weak... What did i do wrong???

chill, let them dry slowly and the smell will start to return... once jarred and curing, the smell will intensify immensely
