What happens if the strains offered don't work?

I've been giving this some thought seeing as Bedrocan is up and running now. I know that it took me the better part of a year to find what combinations of strains worked for me. I don't understand how these established companies don't understand that. Is partial therapy better than none at all?? I don't know. I do know that I'm going to be really pissed if whomever i have to choose from doesn't deliver what I am expecting. I just don't see doctors writing multiple scripts to accommodate the hunt for multiple strains. This is a rotten position to be in. How do these LP know what is going to work for me? I know for me, if I use my vaporizer and I don't get the relief I need, I spark one up and all is right in the world. That clearly says to me that thc cbd, cbn, etc are not the only constituents that show efficacy. I was really hoping that these companies new that it is the whole not just the parts that make this work. Kind of disappointing.

I read a bio med report about bedrocan. Apparently the biggest problem with unregulated medical marijuana is molds and fungi and all the bad things that can go wrong. I have yet to find a report about anyone who has become ill from using contaminated weed. Do you know of any cases?

So far, I have about 20 "strains" to choose from. I'm betting half won't do a damn thing for me because I'm so tolerant of pain meds, that leaves me about 10 strains ... if I had to choose today. I don't have to make that decision just yet, but if I had to....

If you live close to your doc, could you try a shorter prescriptions, or, if not,(Yukon?) post dated ones, renewed more often, instead of multiple scribes which is the best method of experimentation and pain relief. You really need to educate your doctor about cannabis and the MMPR as it relates to you and him. Commonsense is your best weapon, appeal to his want to help you. Or find a Pot Doc, the least desirable way. I don't know about Peace Naturals yet, seems like the rest of the LP's are duds so far, all I can say is that there are LP's, who know marihuana, in the pipeline, and will have a variety of genetics that they would happily grow for you. They may be just in time to!

I know you got all this WHATFG, but for other patients looking for multiple prescriptions.
A good doctor should understand the situation HC has put his/her patients into, your not asking for more marihuana, your asking for the ability to find the right medicines for you quicker and easier.

Use commonsense against your reluctant doctor, bring a waiver with you for them, corner them and make them listen.

Just the fact that you get immune to to one strain and a different one can work again is enough to insist on more than one LP. Never mind that you now need to experiment with these new names and growers to find what works, and you need no less than four strains, in my opinion for the most consistent pain relief. Mention all the side effects you would be avoiding from the pills they might want to turn to cause it is safe, familiar and not controversial.

Don't forget to mention that "these LP's" (said with much venom) need to learn how to grow and you don't want your pain dictated by their ability to grow, for a whole year. Top all that off with the fact that new strains will be coming off the line that you may want to try too. Explain how it works, the cannabis and the new patient system.

As a patient you need multiple prescriptions just to manage your pain, no mystery here, just commonsense and a doctor will understand, educate them for the rest of us, and don't take no(pills) for an answer. My doctor caved and wrote his first marihuana prescription (MMAR). Now I need to have this talk too about multiple prescriptions as it looks like we will not make the D-day deadline and I will be forced to choose some LP's too. He will not be looking forward to seeing me I bet, but I bet he is a lot better prepared. Lol.

Every single patient needs the ability to experiment with different strains, on an on going basis to best manage their pain properly. This requires multiple prescriptions under the rules of the MMPR. If you want to shop and try different things, every prescription you get will allow you to shop at a different LP, Getting 5 - 1g/day scribes is way more medically useful for your pain management than 1 - 5g/day prescription, appeal to your doctors want to help you!

Your LP's might even let you try a variety of their varieties, speeding up the process of finding a few strains that will work for you. "We need all doctors, not pot doctors" IMO. Hope this helps everybody understand the situation better.

I am way ahead of myself. If I don't get some kind of support....I don't know what I'm going to do. I trying to be positive that WCB will cover the cost. After all, they had no qualms about poisoning me for the past 15 years!!

What did peace naturals say WHATFG? Seemed like they had buds?
They'll get back to me within 48 hours. You know Koot, the more it think about this, the stranger it becomes. Do people have to sign on for a year with all LP's? Or is that individual rules because that will/would suck, especially when trying to find the right strains. These are some important questions that I don't think Harper considered at all. I hate when I get put in a box with everyone else. What works for me and mine may not work for you and yours. I think this is what makes it hard for some people to believe that med mari works for anyone. It is highly individualistic.

Personally I want to avoid the year long sign up, as an LP, but if doctors continue to prescribe it 12 months at a time, out of ignorance, when in reality it should be much shorter and much longer time frames, a year is just a nice round number that has nothing to do with the health of the patient or the marihuana. We need to educate the doctors one patient at a time. We need all doctors not pot doctors. Is there any docs out there that can give us insight in how to manipulate them more effectively LOL.

None of the four LP's seem to get that you match the cannabis to the patient, not the ailment, it is a bit counter intuitive, but it is because there are so many factors that play into using marihuana, and don't think for a second that your doctor gets it either, they are spoon fed the same bullshit too.

I am not saying that eventually the percentages won't help us narrow down the best cannabis for you, but I am saying that marihuana will continue to surprise the scientists with it's ability to morph like water. Cannabis is a genie.

Will we one day be able to match a specific strain to a specific disease, from what I have learned, never. Should we try low THC strains with kids who need it, first?, sure. Should we try what worked for the other guy?, sure. Is this a reliable way to prescribe marihuana?, not even close. Like no other medicine, and can't hurt you either.

Some CC salesmen really want to believe this BS because it makes them sound knowledgeable about marihuana and its medical uses, when at the end of the day you only have experimentation.

Never try to match the strain to an ailment is one of the first lessons our local CC owner operator gives his new employees, he really doesn't like the lie. He is also big on facilitating experimentation with multiple strains. Another way he helps patients choose their medicine, when they don't already know what they want, is with smell, liking the smell coming out of the jar is a very good indicator that that strain will work good for you, he is a skeptic but it seems to prove out over time, is this simply the effect of the flintstone vitamin?
Big Pharma is already busy trying to stuff cannabis into that lantern, good luck with that boys. I hope they invent the marihuana scratch and sniff, so we can send our varieties in smell alone to our patients to help them with their choices.

Mettrum sent me a fucking poster basically telling me about the Mettrum spectrum!! Nothing from peace naturals. This system is not going to work. The more I snoop around and ask questions, the more convinced I am that the LP's so far don't really have a clue what the fuck is going on. I just keep winding myself up here getting more frustrated and pissed with what is about to happen in this country. Do these companies really not understand that you can't put me or anyone else into the "spectrum" box? I can see why doctors want nothing to do with this now. There's gonna be some weed that these companies won't be able to get rid of and they'll be looking for patients- that's why doctors aren't lining up to sign up. When these LP's can't answer my simple question...at least Bedrocan will replace their crap with more crap but no refund, there is a serious problem.

I think it's time to lawyer up - frosty chance in hell my girls are meeting their fate on April 1st and I want to make sure that I understand exactly what my constitutional rights are

Sad,sad,sad!!!!

Looking forward to hearing about Peace Naturals, WHATFG, and what they have to say.
Looks like they have 4 strains of bud available, wonder if they would send you all four in a single order?
Why is nobody posting their results about all the LP's weed? I'd a thunk that the Pulp Pushers Syndicate would have had multiple reviews by now.
I am working on a 50 point rating system for the LP's. I need people who know marihuana to tell me all about their experience with the different MMPR medicines, service, packaging, anything and everything. I can't post it with all the current gaps in the info.

I would think that what they got is crap and they just don't want to admit they were wrong. This colour coding shit looks like it's geared towards kids - bright colours...geez only my pills have been different colours, the containers were either clear or dark.

I am not holding my breath to hear back from Peace naturals. They gave themselves a time limit and couldn't get back to me within.I will say this again... this program is not for the sick and dying...it is a precursor to something else and as long as harper is in charge it won't be good.

Figured you may find this interesting to support your last paragraph :)

I'm sure already know this.
But to help educate those who do not understand the importance of the terpenes

I would like to add to this, by saying that I have been in the processing phase since the beginning of the month with Peace Naturals. They seem to be really slow (I have heard that Mettrums processing is only 1-3 days!). For me though, they have been quite easy to get in touch with.
And while I have been in this long process, all the strains I was truly interested in were sold out. :cuss:

This just came in from Mettrum. I guess the poster wasn't enough info. So what do y'all think about this??

Thank you for your inquiry.

At Mettrum, we are completely confident in our product and therefore stand behind it, 100%. We are well aware of the fact that different strains of medicinal marihuana have different health benefits and effects for different people, based on a variety of circumstances and factors. As such, we are producing a wide array of various strains of medicinal marihuana in an effort to accommodate the needs and desires of as many patients as possible.

Typically, our minimum order quantity is 15 grams. However, we do have a one-time offer for patients who wish to sample at least 2 or more strains in 5 gram increments. As such, that would make the minimum order quantity 10 grams. However, that is a one-time only offer.

If you are not satisfied with Mettrum’s product, you are entitled to register with another Licensed Producer. You will simply need to provide new original medical documentation to each and every Licensed Producer with whom you register. In addition, please note that it is sole your responsibility to ensure that you are never in possession of more than the legal amount that you are authorized to possess at any given time.

I hope that you have found this information helpful. If you should have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me, via either phone or e-mail, depending on your preferred method of communication.

Not really. Sometimes you have to already be a client to get their list of strains and prices as I believe,Peace Naturals does. I think you can go to the respective websites for,the others and they have their prices posted. I believe there are minimum order amounts but I think it's more than 5g. I used to like when I could order 1g of something to see if it works. Now you'll have to purchase a larger minimum and pay for primo shipping too. Thanks Steve!!!
