What is an "up high"?

A lot of people and seed companies refer to the "up high" when speaking particularly of Sativas- "clear energetic up high". I would like to know what that means and if an "up" high relates to functionality. For instance, someone was relating to me that Kali Mist(a sativa) is a very nice daytime smoke because you can go out and do things, even want to go out and do things on it and it makes doing it more fun. I am very interested in that. My perception is that his description is a long-worded way of saying "up high". But I have also heard someone describing a weed that's an up high as something you won't soon go to sleep on. If you've ever gotten buzzed at night then lay down and your heart is pounding and your mind racing and you can't relax or fall asleep it's not a very nice feeling and never made me happy I was stoned. So if that's an "up high" I probably wouldn't be happy.

I have been leading myself to believe "up high" is the same as happy and non-paranoid. A "clear energetic up high" sounds great when thinking about it like that. But maybe "up high" is the paranoid thought-ridden high I'm trying to avoid so I just want to get some opinions.

FWIW, Dutch Passion said their Durban Poison and Sacra Fresca are both very happy strains. But they really didn't follow up with anything to justify that- I guess they don't want to communicate too much so as not to come across as recommending cultivation. Do you have any experience with DP or SF?

Durban Poison does not sound very strong but if it's a real happy experience, great.

Sacra Fresca
indoor, outdoor
"Sacra Frasca" or "Holy Joint" is a F1 - hybrid between Power Plant and Skunk Passion, both true-breeding varieties. Power Plant, is a renowned variety like White Widow or Orange Bud, which you will find in almost any coffeeshop in the Dutch cities.. a result we are very proud of. This variety is only available in its feminized form. For the creation of this hybrid we used feminized Skunk Passion "pollen" to fertilize a female Power Plant. Therefore the features of Power Plant are most pronounced in this hybrid. Very potent and energetic uphigh, caused by the hybrid vigor of combining two genetically very different Sativas. Sacra Frasca also gives very good yields in a greenhouse. Through the "open" Sativa growth pattern a very mold resistent variety. Respectable yield. Bracts and also fan leaves carry lots of resin.
Sacra Fresca does sounds strong even though Dutch Passion referred to it as a "happy" strain when I asked about it.

But I think I like the sound of Super Haze a lot in part because it promises a "incredibly clear energetic up energy" and must be a descendant of the Hazes which seems like a great lineage everyone seems happy with.

Super Haze

DUTCH-PASSION

Right now I am thinking about doing Kali Mist and/or Super Haze, and maybe a milder one like Durban Poison or a Thai strain like Voodoo. Kali Mist and Super Haze may be too similar in qualities. Someone at Dutch Passion said Durban and Sacra are "happy" strains and that Voodoo(Thai) is good for that also.

I am also going to try to harvest a powerful indica like White Widow or AK-47 so that I have the indoor, couchy high available too.

FWIW my primary reason for considering Dutch Passion is the hope that ordering feminised seeds makes it easier to produce females. I'm only growing a a plant or two or each strain so that math is pretty good that I don't get any hermies. Kali Mist doesn't come in feminised so I have to plant a few and pull the males on that one.

Sativa is great to smoke and go to a museum, read, clean the house, etc. Just don't smoke too much and your heart won't pound. For me, it is like having a cup of coffee - peps me up and can focus even with distractions all around. Never had a 100% sativa, though, just hybrids that are sativa-dominant. Probably a good idea to stop smoking about 1.5 hours before you want to go to sleep... or save the indica-dominant strains for night time.
