Wowis anyone experienced in here damn guys now if your done arguing so was the spots that are circled the foxtail? im confused here ill just wait it out so when (if) this is whats happening i can actually tell some one no one here seems to know wtf?
kidding me, right?
the spots you circled were leaves.
as i already said foxtails arent leaves, they are calyxes that exceed the top pf he nearly finished bud.
if you LOOK and READ and then THINK and maybe LOOK AGAIN, i bet you can understand this.
rzza got it. why don't you?

some strains like to foxtail more than others.
the blue dream i've seen just does it, no adverse anything is going on (temps or anything).
it can be environmental, or show that the weed was flowered a bit long, or it can be a result of hybridization.
it's pretty common.

I get it with my cali orange skunk... it's just like in trichlone's pics... like long thin fingers that grow out of the main bud. Nice pics BTW.
And it is pretty common from what I've heard from buddy growers..Maybe you've just never grown a strain that does it.. None of my other ones have done it - so it makes sense that you may haven't seen it.

now that i know what were talking about:) i can vouch for this. i often times run multiple strains at once and ill find certain strains foxtailing and other not, in the same environment.

Simple google search came up with the answer.

It's when the calyxes starting stacking on each other in a tower like pattern, generally less desirable because it lessens bag appeal.
I actually prefer the structure in the second pic cus some plants grow like that genetically.

I think buds normally form on / out of existing buds anyway so that's not a good definition. It's when they start forming in a single file line..?

Your right. Nicely put too! The bud on UK420.com that you posted a link too.. that's also a pure sensimilla. I love spiral tipped buds.. they're a work of art IMO. Just beautiful!

My 'Apollo13' from TGA.. it grew out like that. Especially the main kohla.
