you may indeed feel the op was a "sad excuse" for a post. there are others who found it amusing or thought provoking or just good casual reading.

you could just state your point or counter-point.

you're free to be offended, just as i'm free to offend your delicate sensibilities. maybe you find it amusing or thought provoking when a narrow mind paints a huge block, if not the majority, of the american public with such a broad brush, describing them as war mongering bigots and hypocritical stooges of some illusory conspiracy by big business to enslave the masses, but, as i have just stated, i find it merely sad. after several years of reading med's diatribes against the business community and capitalism in general, i see little point in beating around the bush. maybe if you spent less time seeking out things to be offended by and giggling giddily over the tired rhetoric of the more infantile members of the left, you'd realize that engaging in such absurdity is just asking to be labeled the fool.

We want a Federal government which confines itself within the parameters of the U.S. Constitution.

Hey everyone. Lest anyone think I am a chicken shit for not posting lately, let me assure you I am NOT! It seems I was temporarily banned for being a gay person who is willing to admit it and who actually has the nerve to think I have a right to express an opinion. Ooops. Scratch that. I am on my knees genuflecting to the powers that be. I will obey! I’ll be good!!

That statement will most likely get me banned ASAP. Again. Certain conservative contributors and moderators want to shut me up.

Anyway, kudos to medicine man who is willing to express an opinion contrary to the decidedly right leaning opinions of many contributors and that is contrary to the OBVIOUSLY RIGHT WING SLANT THAT IS UTILIZED IN THE MODERATION OF THIS POLITICAL FORUM.

That being said, I do NOT agree with much of what was said in his post. I am not into this Marxist/Leninist class struggle stuff. There is plenty of evil out there, but it is there on both sides: liberal/conservative, republican/democrat.

An active and well known Conservative member was temporarily banned, too. I seriously doubt anyone considered either one of you chickenshit based on absence alone. Moreover, members absent themselves from the forum for a variety of reasons that have nothing to do with poultry waste.

I am intrigued, however, by your statement about fellow members wanting to shut you up. Are your words that important, or carry such an impact, that someone would feel the need to silence you?

You brought it up so go ahead and name names.

Also, please provide examples of this right-wing slant you refer to in the Moderator cadre.

The right wants us to be slaves in their corporations, businesses, shops etc, without having any say in our well being, anti-unionists.
The right likes to think of themselves as superior in intellect, and judges everyone by their financial status..
I could go on for hours, but since I'm at a pretty much teabagger site, I'll close for now and let this curdle their milk. Be assured I'll be back with more descriptive views of those on the right.
BTW a rant against the left has already been done, Tit for tat. Also feel free to add to my list as you see fit.

1. Actually, I'd be happier if we got rid of public schools, fire departments and police forces, since they aren't effective.
2. We can pay for ourselves. Would you rather choose the services you use, or be forced to pay for one specific service, with no choice whatsoever?
3. If you can't afford something, you don't have the right to take other people's money to pay for it.
4. Are you actually saying that most average Joe Republicans are making money from wars?
5. I could do without liberals, but that doesn't mean I wish death on them. Otherwise, some of my closest family members would be gone.
6. You're not a slave when you have the right to quit.
7. And you're not assuming intellectual superiority with this list?

Well, rest assured that I am not one of the "conservatives" you alluded to above. True, I am a conservative, but I am also a Libertarian. As a Libertarian, I have nothing against Gays and wouldn't think of restricting their rights in any way.

As a Libertarian, I honestly believe that as long as you don't violate the rights of another in the process, you have the right to debase yourself anyway you see fit. :blsmoke:

Why do we keep on using the term "conservative" when most of the so called "conservatives" in politics are anything but true conservatives?

Lest we forget the last "conservative" administration presided over the largest expansion of government and debt in decades, while for the first time in history driving down the average Americans personal wealth. . They are conservative in name only, they are merely puppets for the Christian right wing.

I think anyone right of far Left is a Conservative these days - I'm a Centrist in real life. I also don't think the Republicans want to drive up spending, that just tends to happen when you fight wars and have to spend trillions cleaning up the mess the Democrats left.

If Clinton would have had the balls to take out Bin Laden when he had him, and if 911 never happened, and if the CRA didn't bankrupt our banking system, housing market, automotive industry and just about everything else, we would all be shitting in tall cotton.
