Indica and Sativa??

In another thread - found that I may be mistaken on how the effects of these work....

I read that an Indica = upbeat, cerebral type of effect... Sativa = heavy, body effect

but others say no, it's the other way around....

I've been doing ALOT of reading... and asking questions... lol --

After reading up on the Blueberry that works so well for my symptoms...
This is where I got some of my information from on it -
http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/dutch-passion-blueberry-feminized/prod_283.html

Not sure if this is the exact same bb -- I can't seem to find the other link atm - when I do I'll add it on here.

It's the other way around. Looks like blueberry has both.

True - other way around.

Sativa: Long flowering, stretching
The high from sativa will be very cerebral and creative. You'll only rarely find pure sativa on the streets, since it's a smaller yielder and slower grower.
Many of us like sativa more than indica because of this. Sativa will make you want to go fishing and stuff like that. If you want to laugh a sativa will help you.

Indica: More compact and faster
High is more body stone and makes you want to sit in front of the tv. Indica is known to be more of a painkiller than sativa.
Indica might be easier to grow indoor since you mostly need no tying up.

Hybrids:
A mix of both. Will give you a mixed high - both cerebral and body.
Most plants you get today are hybrids - these will come with different percentages of Sativa vs. Indica - some will for instance be 70% sativa - others will be 50% indica (thus 50% sativa).
But you can pick phenotypes from any packet. If you for instance get 5 female plants - mostly they'll be different (and look like completely different strains). So you just pick the female you like as a mother.

I guess that's why I'm confused. Blueberry says it's 80% Indica and 20% Sativa -- The effects from this plant make me feel AWAKE and I want to do things -- and it's an Indica dominant strain......

phenotypes:

the 20% sativa, while it is not dominant, and has a low chance of expression, it can still show up in a phenotype.

i love the sativa high i prefer it over indica but i have had some hybrids which have a higher indica percentage and still feel active
i guess its all down to chance of the sativa high showing up, unless you have a 100% indica

The difference is not that enormous in the high. If you're in the right mood you could feel like fishing while smoking indica. Sativa just in average keeps you more active.

Simply put: With sativas you feel like fishing while with indicas you feel like the fish itself (disclaimer: this statement is open to interpretations) :D
