what is the strongest lamp.

Does anyone know a lamp that is better than the sun for growing? stronger and better?

there is nothing humanly posible made that is stronger or evenremotely close to the sun.best light s are mh for veg and hps for flower

mabee they say that refering to the idea that with lights you chose the light cycles and spectrums.basicaly you are god over your little sun .lol

The sun produces about 100,000 lumens from the top of the plant to the bottom on a bright sunny day.

A 1000W MH produces about 115,000 lumens 1 foot from the plant.
A 1000W HPS produces about 140,000 lumens 1 foot from the plant.

For every foot of distance you loose half your light. Distance from the light is as important as the total lumens. For decent growth you need to give your plants at least 10,000 lumens.

I use both 1000W MH and HPS lights right next to each other. Some of my top buds grow to less than 1 foot from both lights at the same time. The buds are getting over 250,000 lumens! My reflectors have glass and are vented into the attic so I can run my lights very close to the buds without burning.

Yes you can have lights brighter than the sun!

Just because its brighter doesnt mean its better. Sun offers many other services that grow lights dont.
