what kind of lights can i use for cheap

i was woundering if a 65w flood light bulb or a 100w halogen bulb will grow my plants there the only thing i can get my hands on right now

dude buy a CFL bulbs from walmart and you will have a great grow dont buy those shitty lights your talking about

save up get a 150 hps for 69.99 if not then go with some cfls.I think that 65 watt floodlight is a cfl if im not mistaken

you dont want anything with a filament. meaning you want florescent, hids(no filament... arc tubes) or leds <but they suck apparently so I would say your best bet would be fluorescents

i was looking into some led grow lights, i herd they work awsome.

Better do your research on those LED's and for the money I'd go with a 400w or 600w Sodium.... If you want cheap go wiht CFl's as z4qqqbs suggested. No Hologen bulbs or flood lights, way to hot and not what you want!!

Leds are good nut for the amount of money i would go with a mh or hps.To me leds are good as supplement light.

Well if you want l.e.d. lights get them i will be glad to see your grow.The price for that i rather get a hps or mh or both.

LEDs are fine if you pay the money for the right LEDs. And the right LEDs are unfortunately the really, really expensive LEDs.

If you are trying to go cheap, buy CFLs.

If it's just one plant your after. Home depot have a 300 watt cfl for15$. It could get you some decent results. I used to veg with 48 in fluoro tubes ($20) at loses with bulbs. Then flower 3 plants with 4 of the cfl. Got about 50g/plant.

Just buy a hps. By the time you buy all the cfls, cords, splitters, extenders,timers, clamp reflectors it would have been cheaper to just buy a used 400 hps for $100 or less. If you dont believe me then id buy 6 packs of 26 watt cfls, you can get em for like 5 or 6 bucks now with a $5 rebate from lowes or wally world.

Dont, especially if its your first grow. The bang for your buck isnt there and the chance of you getting ripped off on crappy leds(there are thousands of them out there) is vin very high. Besides there are plenty of stories of led working great in veg but not so good in flowering.
