what kind of nutes should i get?

with everything else pretty much out of the way, all i got left to worry about is nutes. I keep seeing mentions of dyna-gro, fox farm, and others, but what nutrients can i get at my local wal-mart/lowes for MJ? I saw a tomato nute thing that was 21-18-18, but not sure if it's any good for MJ, and if it would work fine what strengths would i need to use?

on the side, is a ph of 6.5 all i need to worry about with using tap water? if not, a quick mention of what else i may need to test with my water is all i'll need, and i'll research it thoroughly.

Any and all help would be very helpful, and this might possibly be the last time i have to bother everyone.

Hydro or soil?

If by chance you're thinking DWC, I recommend Advanced Nutrients 3-Part Ph Perfect, with the Hobbyist Grower bundle. It's easy to use for the noob, and almost idiot proof at 80% recommended strength.

Worry not about your pH at that reading. Saves you adding pH Down. If you're Amish you know agriculture. Or enough about it to grow pot. It's a grass. Related to bamboo. It is not a "weed" and does not grow like one. Your tomato food will work but in VERY REDUCED amounts. VERY REDUCED AMOUNTS!!! Start at 1/8 of the recommended feeding on the side label. If you need help calculating come back and ask. Many get so complicated trying to deduce ratios.

Read up on the "nutritional requiremtns" of pot in both veg stage as well as flower. Download all the pics you can that show deficit or toxicity. Also look for a Cal/Mag addicvitve with calcium and magnesium and other trace minerals if your main nute does not have them.

I know a few cool mentally handicap people that r doing great things with House and Garden nutes. There getting good yields and there medicine is great. There buying the small bottles of the line. There not buying roots excellerator, there using GH rapid start at the same feeding dose. They say its way better and cheaper. I can post a few pics of their bud shots so u can see if its what u like.

I'm not amish lol, just use this name on anything computer related because amish don't use electricity.

I'm growing in soil - 50% vermiculite/ 50% perlite. For the tomato food, what cycles should i use it during or should i use it through the whole plant life? Also, we are buying the ph testing kit soon, but for now i don't know what ph my tap water is. I've heard letting the water sit overnight will either lower/increase the ph (don't remember which way, will reread before watering plants for first time).

If 6.5 ph is fine and i don't really have to worry about ppm or whatever then i seem to be good. Just let me know if i will need to supplement the tomato plant food or replace it during a different cycle.
